Hymenaeus

Should Christians point out false Teachers and false teaching? Doesn't the Bible tell us NOT to judge? Didn't Jesus tell us to "leave the tares alone", until he comes back at the "harvest"?

Let us examine those questions.

As in all things, one must see what the Bible says about false teachers. One could ask if there are examples of New Covenant Apostles exposing false teachers in the Bible.

And so we open our Bibles to Timothy, and we see Paul DID expose false teachers! And he named names! He didn't "take names"....he exposed them. He named specific ministries and exposed them as false. The names are in the Bible. These men and their ministries have been exposed as false teachers for all the generations of Christians to see!

"This kind of talk spreads like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are examples of this. They have left the path of truth, preaching the lie that the resurrection of the dead has already occurred; and they have undermined the faith of some." (2 Tim. 17-18)

"Cling tightly to your faith in Christ, and always keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples of this. I turned them over to Satan so they would learn not to blaspheme God." (1Tim.1:20)

Paul not only named the false teachers, but he also revealed their modus operendi. Paul shows the subtlety of Satan. In telling us about Hymenaeus and Philetus, he shows us that the deciever begins with the teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ---the deciever says he believes it. The deciever is often on the "path of truth", but somewhere along the line, he caves in to his own pride, and leaves the path of Christ, and starts to add his own ideas to make a different "gospel".

The deciever begins to tell others, his "deeper truths".... Now here is an alarm for God's people! When you hear that phrase, the alarms should go off! In Reading the New Living Translation, I even found this phrase addressed about false doctrines! Will you heed God's alarm? Read Revelation 2:24:

"But I also have a message for the rest of you in Thyatira who have not followed this false teaching (`deeper truths,' as they call them--depths of Satan, really). I will ask nothing more of you"(NLT)

False teachers draw people in little by little, feeding hungry people doctrines different from Biblical Christianity. Chapter by chapter, verse by verse, they read and twist the scripture; undermining the faith of some; they "killed those who should not have died"....(Ezek. 13:19) These "Pastors" trick people by saying that they have "special" visions, and knowledge reserved for God's most trusted servants. Yet, that is not what the Bible says! Check it out:

"Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism"

Acts 10:34

Everything that God has, is availible to every Christian! No, we are not "cookie cutter" Christians...we all don't have the same special gifts and powers; but God does not withhold his truth. He gives us different abilities, yet his Gospel and truth is availible to us all, who believe on Christ Jesus!

Gal. 4:7 "Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, everything he has belongs to you." NLT

We are all the same, in Jesus Christ!

As for the "visions and reading of "signs"....Check out the Word of God:

"You have not gone up into the gaps to build a wall for the house of Israel to stand in battle on the day of the LORD. They have envisioned futility and false divination, saying, "Thus says the LORD!' But the LORD has not sent them; yet they hope that the word may be confirmed. Have you not seen a futile vision, and have you not spoken false divination? You say, "The LORD says,' but I have not spoken."

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Because you have spoken nonsense and envisioned lies, therefore I am indeed against you," says the Lord GOD."

Ezek. 13:5-8

The lies and vain nonsense false teachers focus on, take their student's eyes off of Jesus Christ, who is the only one who can fill in the gaps of the wall of God's kingdom. These teachers take the emphasis off of developing Spiritual defenses, by putting on the armour of the Holy Spirit, and on to the visions and thoughts of the teacher! Their teaching focuses on the powers, names and abilities of satan. Their teaching does not focus on light and truth, but darkness and lies. Check out what the Bible says:

"... Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise."

Phil.4:7

In many cases, such as the case of Hymenaeus, the deciever twists the truth of THE RESURRECTION .

Not such a big deal, right? One wouldn't think that this would have anything to do with one's salvation, so why does Paul judge and condemn this Hymenaeus for teaching different than Paul does? Is it vanity on Paul's part?

Well, if what Arnold Murray says is true, that 'Paul teaches on 3 different levels'' .... and "We are not all made from the same cookie cutter," Then it could be said that Hymenaeus was probably just on a "different level"....... he could have been teaching about the "spiritual"; a different level of teaching.......why not just "Put it on a shelf", and go on to other things?

According to the teaching of Shepherd's Chapel, Paul should not have publically ridiculed Hymenaeus. As SC students always say, 'Isn't satan the "accuser of the Bretheren"? Yet, here we have an example in the Scriptures of Paul accusing a follower of Christ...Hymenaeus was still teaching about Jesus, and bringing in many converts. It could be asked, as some have said to me about my site here, "Isn't it better that these people believe in Jesus, than the physical resurrection?"

I guess the answer, from this lesson about Paul and Hymenaeus, is "no"!

The work that Jesus did, is all about the Resurrection...the two are not separated!

Why would Paul smear a man's reputation? A man who Paul himself said was on the path of truth? Paul goes so far as to say that Hymenaeus was in satan's hands! Why would Paul say this about a "brother", unless the false teaching is so serious that it must be said?

Either Murray is wrong, about "leaving the tares", and not pointing out the false teaching of those who say they are Christian, or Paul is.. I don't believe that Paul is wrong!

If it is wrong to name false teachers and speak out against them, Paul would not have named these men for people read about them for 2,000 years!

The Bible says that "there is a way at seems right unto man, but the end thereof is death" (Prov. 14:12;16:25). Obviously God put these stories about false teachers in the Bible to teach us, to show us what is important. Obviously, the Re surrection is a
very important issue, that indeed does affect our salvation! A teacher who incorrectly teaches about The Resurrection, is reported in the Bible as being "turned over to satan".......that teacher's teaching is from satan!

The Bible says, that those who move from the teaching of Jesus Christ, and his religion, "do not have God", are not to be endured in the Church, but rather ought to be excommunicated. That is not my opinion. That is the opinion of God, who wrote the Bible! These should be cast out of the Church, and so delivered to Satan. That by their pain they might learn how serious it is to blaspheme. One needs to identify them, and judge them, to do that. Check it out:(2 John 1:8-10;)(2 Tim. 17-18)(1Tim.1:20)(2 Thessalonians 3:6)

The Body of Christ, functioning properly, should be excising these false teachings and standing against the "wolves" (Titus 1:9). But somehow Satan has duped us into believing that if we obey God's instructions, we are the ones "causing division", instead of the false prophets and teachers (wolves) we are commanded to rebuke!
(Titus 1:11-2:1). Satan has attacked the church's "immune system", and we accept and make excuses for the wolves, who take advantage of the flock, we call them "brothers" (2 Jn 7-11)!!

That is the purpose of this site. To rebuke and expose the false teaching of one of the wolves. One who seems as harmless as a sheep! But, his teaching guts the Gospel of Jesus, and kills the student who follows it.

This page will deal with specific teachings and sayings by Arnold Murray. It will be a progressive page, always changing.

1 Peter 2:1 shows us that all false teachers SECRETLY bring in heresies. They keep some of their "teachings" hidden, or masked from the student, for a time, they don't expose these teachings until that student is indoctrinated a little more.

In the case of Shepherd's Chapel, Arnold Murray says to "put it on a shelf" , if you don't "understand" the doctrines he teaches, [if you disagree with his weird ideas, he says that you don't understand, because God has not "opened your eyes" yet, but he says, "that's okay, you'll catch up"! ] it is because "further study is needed"!

False teachers always use the gospel as a sort of hook, to bring in followers.

They say they believe in Jesus, and His Gospel, but....they say there is much more that they know, than the Gospel of Jesus, which will truly set you free! Arnold Murray teaches that salvation is just "milk for babies"....and what he teaches is for only the
"serious student:" who can "eat meat"! Again, THAT IS NOT WHAT THE SCRIPTURES SAY!

The Bible says:

1 Cor.1:18

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

As with all false teachers, Shepherds Chapel sounds Christian, say they are Christian, and use Christian terms........then, after a while, after you are comfortable with them, they reveal a doctrine you never heard before....the "secrete" privately revealed to the
"elect" who follow Arnold Murray; who is God's "special messenger". Murray teaches that he is one of 7,000 such messengers!

Here are some things that one does not realise about the beliefs of Shepherd's Chapel, until they get into his teaching "a little deeper".

One would never guess the heresy of this group, by reading their "statement of faith". To understand the true foundations of Shepherd's Chapel, the core beliefs, one must dig a little deeper! They indeed are cloaked.

Take for instance, Murray's own "In Answer to Critics" Murray says:

" I also should point out to those not familiar with the Shepherd's Chapel that we are completely independent; therefore we are not affiliated with any other church, denomination or group. As a matter of record, the only group of which I am a member is with the "Chosen Few" ...."

When in fact, Mr. Murray is actually a member in good standing with the "Soldiers of the Cross" . He recieved his Ministerial license from them, in 1958. And According to the State of Arkansas, he registered Shepherd's Chapel as a Non-profit Corporation under that name, with that affiliation. The State of Arkansas lists "Shepherd's Chapel" as a "ficticious" (false) name! Don't believe me? Check it out your self. And type in "All Types"; "Soldiers of the Cross"; "Arnold B. Murray"; "Gravette"; "Arkansas"....and click find. All this information is there for you to see. Check it out.

Also, in Murray's answer to critics, he states that,

" I have never claimed to have received a doctorate from Roy Gillaspie. I do not know where some of these "researchers" came up with this. Roy Gillaspie was simply a beloved teacher of God's Word and I have never said or implied any such thing."

The Christian researchers came up with this, because Roy Gillaspie is the one who signed Murray's license to be a minister! Roy Gillaspie, who said that he had a Theology Doctorate, signed this license as well as: John Alvin Lovell, who stated that he had a Doctorate of Divinity, and Oliver Kenneth Goff, who stated that he held a Doctorate of Divinity as well. All these men ordained Mr. Arnold Murray. Yet Murray states that Gillaspie is little more to him than a 'beloved teacher of God's Word'.

This is very deceptive. He is hiding who he really is, and whose religious traditions he really teaches! Oh, Murray teaches traditions.....old traditions, old myths and doctrines; with his new "Kenite" spin on them. Don't be fooled! Don't be tricked! And if you have been, get out now, don't let pride keep you in this deception! Jesus Christ can save you. He wants to.

In the meanwhile, please look up the teachings of the men who signed Mr. Murray's license and the "Soldiers of the Cross" based in Englewood, CO. (Note: there is a group by the same name started a few years ago to serve Vietnam Vets who are in prison. This is not the same group)

These are a few other, Shepherds Chapel teachings, that Murray and his followers would not like you to hear, unless they are couched in their rhetoric. Unless you have a foundation of Shepherd's Chapel heretical teaching before you hear them. Ask Shepherd's Chapel students, and their teacher point-blank, these questions, and sit back and listen to them dance around their answers!:

1.) Does Shepherd's Chapel teach that the Bible contains out and out lies,
written by satan? Does it teach that the book of Esther was written by satan, through the Kenite? That the story did not actually happen? Thus the Bible contains satanic lies?! Why doesn't Murray air a study on the Book of Esther?

2.) Does Arnold Murray teach that to be "Born Again" , means reborn into a former spirit body that we had in "another lifetime"-- in another earth age?

3.) Does Murray teach that he, himself and 6,999 others do not need,
"salvation"? That they were saved by their own actions, in "another life"?

4.) Does Arnold Murray teach that it is the "Kenites", the sons of satan, who live in Israel; and run the Israeli Government? Does he teach that it was these "Kenites" who were killed in the Holocaust, and that those who survived spread "lies", and that 6 million did not actually die? Does Murray think that Queen Elizabeth of England is a "true Israelite"--the actual person who sits on the throne of David? Does he teach that she is the true "line of Judah"? Would his teaching lead one to believe that Joe Lieberman and Alan Greenspan are "Kenites"--sons of satan?

5.) Do you believe that Jesus rose from death in a body of flesh and bone? Or that Jesus merely "took his flesh with him", so that people would believe that he was God? Wouldn't this be a deception? Wouldn't this teaching make Jesus a deciever?

6.) Does Murray teach that it is his opinion that Moses did not die?

7.) Does Murray teach that man was created in HIS OWN (man's) image? The image of the man's former incarnation in a former earthage--in "another lifetime", where this man walked in a "spirit body"? That man was not created in God's image, but his own?

8.) Does Murray teach that the sin in the Garden of Eden, was Sex with satan?

9.) Does Murray teach that there an eighth day of creation?

10.) Who is my "neighbor" that Jesus said I should love?

11.) Does Murray teach that the 5th Trump of Revelation really sounded in 1969?

12.) Does Murray claim to see pages of the Bible float literally in the air, on his right?

13.) Does Murray claim to see people's "souls"?

14.) Does Murray teach that Noah's flood was only a local flood? Does Murray teach that Ham had sex with his mother, or step mother?

15.) Does Murray teach that there are fallen Angels here on earth, now, having sex with human women, and having children?

16.) Did Murray teach that Satan, the anti-Christ, was to be revealed in 1981, and if a person did not understand this, he had no understanding of Scriptures at all? Did this happen?

17.) Does Murray teach that God has a sense of humour, and is sarcastic? Where are the Scriptures to back that up? What basis does he use for this assertion to teach that Jesus is being sarcastic in John 8:37 and 8:56?

18.) Did Arnold Murray say that he ascended into the "third Heaven", on Dec. 2, 1980?

19.) Does Murray teach that to understand the Bible, you must believe that Cain was the son of satan, and that his children live on? Does he teach that this knowledge is the "key of David" which unlocks the scriptures?

20) Does Murray teach that this life is just a testing area, to pay or reward what we did in a "past life".......a past world?

21) Why doesn't Murray use the Bible that he wrote in 1978, The Shepherd's Bible?

22) Does Murray teach that he and those who believe his teachings are the "elect" and EARNED their salvation, in the first earth age? That salvation is not a free gift?

23) What is your definition of Salvation?

You followers of Shepherds Chapel, think about this point. There is much that you don't tell your friends and family about what you believe, until they start getting more involved in Shepherd's Chapel themselves.

If people don't seem open to SC teaching, you keep those teachings to yourself. This should be a red flag for you, because the TRUE Gospel is not something you hide, or hold back! One is not ashamed of the TRUTH.......not secretive of the truth......only falsehoods, and sin makes us want to hide!

When you go to a Baptist church, do they hold back any of their doctrines? When you go to an Assembly of God church, do they hold back telling you anything that they believe? What about the Christian radio ministers you listen to and enjoy: RC Sproul; D.James Kennedy; the late Walter Martin; the late J. Vernon Magee; John MacArthur; even Pat Robertson......they all lay out their beliefs......all of them, for anyone to see! They tell you where they studied, where they got their ordination, and their theological education. Those who hide their doctrines are: Jehovah's Witnesses; Mormons; and Shepherd's Chapel!! Think about it. If you have to hide what you believe......there is something wrong. The truth is shouted from the rooftops! Peter, Paul and the other apostles did not hide their beliefs, they went to prison for them!

Think about dear Christian friends and family that you KNOW love Jesus. Do they accept SC doctrines? If not, why not? Do not fool yourself, it is not because God has given them a "different understanding"..... It is not because they are not "ready or able" to accept the "truth"; they are not "immature".....no. In fact they are so mature, and grown so much in the LORD, that they recognise a false teaching when they see one! The doctrines that you follow are false!

You do not have a "deeper" understanding.........you have been fooled! Don't continue in that deception just because of your pride; don't stay in false teaching because you find it hard to accept that you were able to be tricked! Don't let pride keep you from Jesus and His Kingdom......do not harden your heart against this prompting from the Holy Spirit! You may never have another chance to turn from falsehood, and know the true Jesus Christ!

Now, here are some actual words from Arnold Murray that his followers like to keep secrete. Murray threatens people who print them with lawsuits. Many websites of his followers, who post Murray's teachings and transcribe his newsletters, have been closed under threat of being sued from Shepherd's Chapel! Why does Murray want to keep his words hidden from the general public?

These are some of the weird things the man has said, at his "Fall Fellowship" and "Passover" gatherings, that no Shepherd Chapel students wants their family and friends to know that Murray says. Many students do not tell these things, because they know their friends and family will think Murray is crazy; and they will think the SC student is a fool for following Arnold Murray!

will not talk to a stranger about it. They do not think that

these vehicles are all that unusual either because there are all

types of phenomena that take place there."

"Absolute from God"...David Koresh, Joseph Smith, and more recently, Mullah Mohammad Omar; all have had these private visions from "god"! But, the Real God does not leave us to guess who has the real vision...no, he tells us to test these visions....and says that if what the "prophet" we who speaks, says things which do not come true....they are NOT from God! Deut.18:22.......read it. A true prophet is NEVER wrong.

This is what the LORD Almighty says:

"If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him."

"Giants and supernatural fallen angels returning to this earth in spaceship-like vehicles can easily offend an immature Christian; however, it will happen just as it is written." Newsletter #208

Do you see how Murray intimidates a Christian who does not believe in his silly myths about angels in spaceships, calling them "immature"?!

I call this, the "Emporer's New Clothes" tactic of intimidation used by cults! Just as the con men in this Children's classic story convinced a whole kingdom that they were too stupid to see the Emporer's wonderful new suit, Murray has convinced some poor souls that the cloth he has woven, the tale of the Kenite...is really wonderful, and if one does not see it.......they are "immature", "lazy", or "stupid". In reality, there is no cloth! Murray is actually working on an empty loom! He is walking around naked! For if you are not clothed in the righteousness of Jesus, you are naked! And, just like the fairy tale, a Child, Jesus, is going to shout out, that Murray is naked! The cloth woven by Murray will prove to be empty, and people who follow it, will know that their pride kept them from admitting that they actually knew all along it was false teaching!

Speaking of "Rael" and the Raelians, Mr. Murray included this group in his recent Current events teaching, for 2003! Mr. Murray, who teaches that it is not right to point out false teachers by name, certainly had some things to say about the Raelians! Actually, saying Murray named the group is not entirely accurate. Mr. Murray got their name wrong! Here is what he had to say:

"I mean you talk about 03 brought out the fruit cakes! The nuts! I mean we got
Raphael-do you know what the word Raphael in Hebrew means? That's the name for the fallen angels basically. He claims that you came from a fallen angel that came down here with DNA and packed it all together and wrapped it and there you were! They really don't believe in God and they have a lady spokesman and she is kinda a beauty. (A "BEAUTY"??! His eyes are real bad!) She has volunteered to entertain the green boys if they ever come back. I tell you something, this is so fake so cornball"

Why isn't it "cornball and fake" when Murray teaches that fallen angels are going to return to earth and have sex with human women? When Murray teaches this, one is called "immature" if they do not believe it; but Murray calls the Raelians "cornball and fake" when they teach the SAME THING?!

Oh, I don't have my faith in the Raelians, but their teaching is no more cornball and fake than Murrays! They are two sides of the same coin! "Rael" says that he knows "secrets" that regular humanbeings do not. Murray says the same.

On his January 23, 2003 broadcast, he said:

"Keep trying to build your faith because, I GUARANTEE YOU....there are people... well....I really don't....uh....um...there are people that come from many miles to THIS location to experience certain things...is it talked about? No! No it isn't...and here I am talking about it on national televison! (chuckle)"

Hidden knowledge, that can only be imparted by going to Gravette Ark. LOL! It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. There is a word that means "hidden knowledge. That word is "OCCULT". Are you an occultist? Jesus can and will set you free.

Here is another example of Murray's statements and false teaching. Stay alert and see the tricks this man is playing on you!

"Now, get this picture. Naaman has traveled with his entourage supplied by the king many hard miles. Naaman is a real "muckity-duck". Newsletter #191

He continues:

"II Ki 5:14

14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

Remember, Christ pointed this event out to us when He was speaking of the acceptable year of the Lord in Luke 4. Jesus taught us not to make a big fanfare out of His return. "

WHAT?! DON'T MAKE A BIG FANFARE OUT OF JESUS CHRIST'S RETURN???????!!!!

That is horrible! Who doesn't want us to make a big deal of Christ's return? Satan, of course! ... Our Lord's return will be the biggest event ever! Of course we are suppose to make a big deal out of it! When my God returns, it will be a very big fanfare. The Bible often talks about that, but I have never come across any verse where Jesus told us not to make a "big fanfare" out of his return.....

Insanity!

How accurate is Murray, when he tells a historical antidote?

Well while in the study of Acts 8, speaking of the sorcerer, Simon, Murray says that
"Simon started a religion called, "Simony". "Simony" is NOT a religion! It is a religious practice. The practice is the payment of money to recieve spiritual gifts! We see examples of "Simony" everyday, on Christian television!

Murray insists that the "Kenites" [who he states emphatically are the literal sons of satan; and whose descendants are the Jews in the Israeli government-among others] became scribes and corrupted the biblical manuscripts, so those manuscripts can not be trusted. The only Bible translation which Murray even trusts a little bit, is the 1611 KJV--that is if it is Bullingers, and one looks up the words Murray shows them, in a strongs concordance. Yet even then, Murray ignores the strongs definition, if it does not support his twisted doctrines! And, even the Bullinger's is "wrong" according to Murray, in several places! .

Example: Murray says that Cain is the son of satan and Eve, yet the strong's clearly states that Cain is the "eldest son of ADAM and Eve"!

Another example would be that Murray teaches his students that the Book of Esther is a "Kenite lie"!! (Esther tape #124 available from SC), Thus he teaches that the Bible contains satanic lies. A book of the Holy Bible is written by Satan! That is what he teaches! Sure the Bible "contains" lies... like David when he lived with the Philistines, he lied, and used deception. Many humanbeings did, and it is in the Bible.
But Murray says that a whole book of the Bible-- is written by satan, and is untrue, a lie! There was no Haman who tried to kill the Jews, and there was no faithful Queen Esther! Not according to Murray! He says it is all phony! Murray says that the holiday of Purim is a "Kenite" holiday. Again, his anti-semetic racism shines through! That equates to saying that it is a "satanic" holiday-- because Murray teaches that "Kenites" are satanic! Now, why would anyone say that this story about those who try to kill Jews, yet instead are killed themselves, is a lie?! I think it is obvious.

Rest assured that Esther is a true story. And a wonderful lesson, forever. All who have ever tried to kill the Jews will end up dead in their own plans, just as Haman did! Adolf Hitler does not even have a grave, yet the Jewish people have their own nation once again, and enjoy greater prosperity than ever!

Murray's students will not believe anything anyone says who does not accept the Serpent Seed/ Kenite doctrine!

This makes it almost impossible to witness to SC students. If a person rejects the Kenite teaching, the SC student suspects that the other person may be a Kenite, who is trying to trick them; or perhaps they are "lazy", and "don't study their Bible" enough. In any case, anything the person says, is not to be trusted, by the SC student!

Thus, in this manner, by saying that believing the Kenite teaching the Bible is "unlocked"; the Shepherd Chapel students believe that wisdom begins in
knowing satans sons! This goes right along with their belief that satan was "the tree of Knowledge of good and evil" in the garden of Eden! But, of course my friends, that is not what the Bible says:

Proverbs 1:7 "Fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge. Only fools despise wisdom and discipline."

This Kenite teaching also keeps the SC student from trusting the modern English Bible translations.

So, they can not read the bible in their own language! They do not trust the scholars who worked on the modern translations. They have judged these translators without knowing one thing about them! They believe gossip about these translators, without finding out the facts. On the other hand, the students totally trust Murray's translation! Without question, despite the fact that Mr. Murray gives no proof of any education in Biblical languages and has failed the test of Deut.18:22.

Murray's usual method of teaching is to read a sentence, or a few words, or even just
one word; then he stops and translates for the students. He says, "in other words"; "that is"; "this means"---then he tells the followers what Murray says that God really
means! A few seconds of he Bible, and 10 minutes of his own thoughts! And often those thoughts have nothing to do with the subject of the passage! On his 1.23.03 broadcast, he had 7 minutes of actual Bible in a 59 minute show! His commentary included the comments about mystical things happening at his compound!

Murray often tells his viewers to "check him out", to see if the words mean what he says they do. Of course he tells them WHAT words to check out! He uses the definitions found in the Strong's concordance, of his chosen word. He will use literal translation of the original word, if it supports his theology, but if not, he moves to the "rootwords" or even the words that have affinity with the subject word. Just so they fit in with his preconceived ideas! Other times he even uses the old english word, if it fits his theology better! In another tactic he uses the meaning of a word in one part of the Bible, say a greek NT word, and then he applies that meaning to the Hebrew OT word, if that will support his doctrines! As is the case in the word "beguiled" in Gen. 3:13.

Let's see how well Murray actually translates the Bible:

Let's look at Murray's interpretation of 2 Peter 1:5, If we compare his interpretation to the modern translations, we will see who has corrupted the text!

He says; "this word "virture" is a very interesting word in the Greek; I choose not to actually go to it, because it, it is not in the gender sense,but it is ...very MALE---

and it means; ah, how can I say this- very...so that you don't take it in the sense of gender; It means very, MANLY, in the sense of strength. STRONG! To, to, to have one the ability to LIFT A THING; that is what it means."

First of all, as stated above, the word is VIRTUE, not virture...and in this verse it is a
FEMININE noun! If you will only look in the strong's concordance, it says: "from the same as 730; TDNT - 1:457,77; n f "---This means noun, feminine. It is NOT the same word as #730! They both have the same "root word". That is all! Check it out. I have linked the number and the greek word, in the following paragraph, with the definition.

He chose to not "actually go to it" because he stretches the meaning to the breaking point! Check him out, look it up! The word for "virtue", in Greek, is Strong's #
703--"ARETE"-- (click on # and word) which It means "virtuous course of feeling and action; Moral goodness; excellence such as modesty and purity". It was translated as "praise" in 1 Peter 2:9! It is correctly translated in the NIV as "goodness"----and it was never used as "the ability to lift a thing"!! To twist the verse to change the meaning, Murray goes to Strongs word #730, which SHARES the same "root word", as #703! This is deceptive.

The verse in the KJV:

"And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;"

Now lets look at how the modern bibles translated this verse:

NASB: "Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge,"

NIV: "For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;"

NLT: "So make every effort to apply the benefits of these promises to your life. Then your faith will produce a life of moral excellence. A life of moral excellence leads to knowing God better."

Now, lets look at how Murray translates the verse:

"And besides this, God is very careful, to add to your sure knowledge that He exists, the strength and ability to be a 'DOER'! And to this strength to be a 'doer', the knowledge or intelligence to do it with!"

The meaning of the verse is completely changed! Instead of an exhortation to moral excellence, Murray changes it to mean that God will make someone a "doer"..... He changes a call to spiritual growth, into a call for work! Subtle changes, that change the meaning of scripture, one verse at a time! This may seem like a benign case; no big deal. But, remember the way to get a man to swallow an elephant, is one bite at a time!

I notice during this lesson, that Murray just skips right over 2 Peter 1:20. Meaning he does not examine the words, nor even talk about this verse! He read it, but then he moves right on to verse 21! One should read and examine this verse, that Murray did not examine:

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation."

Most of Murray's interpretations are his own private interpretation! No other teacher in all of the 2,000 years of Christianity, including Christ, has ever named the "Kenites" as the progeny of satan! Only Murray!

Murray often employs this interesting tactic. He reads an important verse, but does not acknowledge that verse, instead moving on, to emphasize on a single word in another verse.

His method is like the harmless trick we play on our sweet trusting children. You know the one, you are sitting together eating, and you point behind the child and say: "OH MY GOSH! LOOK AT THAT! IT IS A HORRIBLE BEAST!" Then of course the child looks behind them and you snatch some good treat off of their plate! It is just silly fun, that does not hurt the child.

Murray does the same thing. But, it is not harmless. Murray invites young Christians to his table, to "eat" of the Word of God, and then points behind them to the "horrible beast"; the "Kenite"! Murray gets the Child of God to look away from their good food of Jesus Christ, to look for a beast, and that is deadly!

One more example from the 2 Peter teaching. Chapter 2 begins:

"But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the LORD who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction."

The greatest sin and the most damning work of satan is misrepresentation of the truth and its consequent deception. Nothing is more wicked than for someone to claim to speak for God to the salvation of souls, when in reality he speaks for satan to the damnation of souls. [see Deut.13:1-18; 18:20; Jer. 23] Satan has always endeavored to infiltrate Christianity. False teachers parade themselves as Christian Pastors and teachers. "Heresies" are self-designed religious lies, which lead to factions. In the above verse, the phrase, "denying the Lord" exposes the depth of the crime and guilt of the false teachers.

The Greek word for LORD, is used 10 times in the NT and means: "one who has supreme authority". This refers to the deity of Jesus Christ! False teachers always have an erroneous Christology. They may deny the virgin birth; the bodily resurrection; the Trinity.....but at the heart of it all is a refusal to submit to the authority of the Truth of Jesus Christ!

In Murray's interpretation he moves away from the deity of Christ, with the word "LORD". He instead focuses in on the "possible" rootword, for Strong's # 1203
"despotes"; the

POSSIBLE ROOTWORD, which is combined with "posis", could mean. "husband", Murray latches onto that possible part of the "rootword", and goes on to make that the focus of the verse! He says: "Peter is trying to refer to the time of the end, when Christ returns as husband". If Peter was focusing on the end, why wouldn't he say so?! Peter is telling us that there will always be people who play these kind of word games, to change the meaning of the Bible! Will you listen?
Peter is telling you who is a false teacher! It is the person who denies Jesus. Who denies Jesus? Those who teach that Jesus is not a real person, but only God in another mode, or role! And who teaches that? Murray for one!

Murray teaches as he reads this verse, that in the end times people will deny the Lord,
'because they have not been taught that there are two "Lords". ' meaning the anti-christ! Just to call the anti-Christ "Lord" is blasphemy! He is not my lord, or any Christian's lord!

But here again, another example of Murray taking the student's eyes off of Jesus, and putting the focus on to satan! See how subtle that is?! Can you not see that?

Next, while reading the same passage, instead of going on the the next verse, to teach "verse by verse".... Murray goes on a diatribe mocking Easter, and a symbol of the Trinity: the egg! This has nothing to do with the verse! Murray says that it "makes one weep to think of Christians desecrating "the most Holy of all days". Which Murray says is the Crucifixion. Easter does not celebrate the
Crucifixion, nor is the most Holy day in Christianity the Crucifixion!......it celebrates the Resurrection! The Resurrection day is the most Holy day in the Christian calendar! Satan enjoys the day of crucifixion, since he has no idea of God's plans, he thought he had won...Christ was dead. That is an image that he likes to focus on, a dead Jesus on the cross....but Christians celebrate an EMPTY
cross!!! For that is what differentiates Christianity from all other religions! Our Savior is ALIVE! And so shall we live, just as he does!

Murray gets a student to take their eyes off of Jesus, and away from the good food of the Bible. And during this verse, it is never more clear; as Murray goes on to describe the pagan rituals some cultures celebrated during this time of year. ["Get your eyes on the monster"!! ] Then Murray says that vs 2 says, "in other words if you really teach the Bible, chapter by chapter and verse by verse, you will be spoken evil of"..... THE BIBLE DOES NOT SAY THAT!! NO WHERE! Never does any verse say that the Bible should be taught chapter by chapter, verse by verse....... Jesus did not teach that way! He did not sit and read the Scriptures and offer commentary. He read it once, then sat down! Jesus lived out examples of the scripture. He showed us how the scriptures fit into our daily lives.

Here is another example, of Murray taking his student's eyes off the true good food, and on to the monster: John 8 starting at Verse 3 we see that teachers of the law, and Pharisees came to test Jesus. Now, in verse 37 JESUS says that these are

descendants of Abraham.....NOT Cain.....NOT Satan! Jesus says they are Abraham's SEED-- "SPERMA" He affirms that in verse 56.....Yet Murray dwells on the verses (42 and 44) that call these men "sons of satan"....Thus stealing the real truth and good food of the message of the text! The message being that when we do the work of satan, by giving ourselves over to unclean thoughts and actions, using deception; then we are "of" satan; just like these Jews. Their spiritual father is satan.

Murray regularly uses this "root word" tactic, to misinterpret the Bible, and to support his heretical teachings. Take for instance the 'key' of his doctrine, the word
"Kenite". Murray teaches that Kenite means "Cain". Kenite actually means "smiths", in the Strong's concordance. The root word of Kenite is the same word as "Cain". From this Murray teaches that the Kenite's are the actual (descendants) son's of Cain, the first son of Eve! [Murray teaches that Cain's father is Satan, thus so are the Kenites]

Ridiculous! First of all, further examination shows that the root word, which also means "Cain"; "Quayin", Strong's # 07014, is only used for "Kenite", in one verse of the old testament, Num.24:22! But first we also must point out, that this root word for Cain is also the same word used for "the tribe from which the father-in-law of Moses was a member"; and more importantly for proper interpretation: a village in Judah! (Joshua 15:57)

Let's look at the "Kenite" verse, Numbers 24:22. To put it in context and to get the proper meaning, one must read the verse prior to verse 22: Verse 21: "And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock."

The word for "Kenite" here is Strong's #07017 Qeyniy {kay-nee'} which was used in the OT 13 times and means "smiths" or the "tribe from which the father in law of Moses was a member"

Verse 22: "Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive."

The word "Kenite" here, is Strong's #07014 Qayin {kah'-yin} Which according to Joshua 15:57, is a village! Thus the two different uses of the word, "Kenite". one is speaking of the tribe, one is speaking of the village! In context, one can see that in verse 21 immediately prior to verse 22, it is speaking of the "dwelling place" of this tribe. Very simple, no hidden "code" to find the "sons of satan", at all! It was translated thus in the NASB:

"And he looked at the Kenite, and took up his discourse and said, Your dwelling place is enduring, And your nest is set in the cliff. Nevertheless Kain will be consumed; How long will Asshur keep you captive?"

NKJV: "Then he looked on the Kenites, and he took up his oracle and said: "Firm is your dwelling place, and your nest is set in the rock; Nevertheless Kain shall be burned. How long until Asshur carries you away captive?"

If one needs to examine root words to discover the hidden, secrete meanings of the scriptures, then why doesn't Mr. Murray look at the root words for all names? Could it be that Murray knows this blows his teachings right out the window?!

Let us apply the same scrutiny to the root words for other Kenite names, in: 1 Chronicles 2:55 which Murray uses to show how these supposed descendants of Cain, (satanic hybrids, according to Murray) became scribes and corrupted the scriptures. Look at the verse a little closer, and you will see that there is absolutely no connection!

"And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, [and]

Suchathites. These [are] the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab."

The rootword for "Tirathites"--08654 Tir`athiy {teer-aw-thee'} Tirathites = "men of the gate" if you read your Bible, Jesus said he is the Gate!

"Shimeathites"=08101 Shim`athiy {shim-aw-thee'} root=08093 Shim`ah {shim-aw'} Means = "fame"

"Suchathites"=07756 Suwkathiy {soo-kaw-thee'} means "Suchathites = "bush-men"

Kenites who are the descendants of Caleb, and the brother of David, "the branch" and a "hedge"; also Kenites who are "gatekeepers", when Jesus Christ says that he is the gate! Well, well, well! Murray fails to mention these!

Nothing about being sons of satan.??? Or even Cain. But "JEHOVAH IS WILLING". AND a nephew of David!!

Take a look at Judges 4:11. If you will read it, it says that Heber IS a Kenite; and his father is Hobab. Look up Hobab. He is the son of Jethro...Moses's father in law. Just like the strong's definition says for the word "Kenite"! This verse does say that Heber "severed" himself from the Kenites. But take your strong's and look up the word used for "severed". It is #06504 --"parad". Then notice that it is the same word used when Lot and Abraham separated, in Gen 13:9-14! Nothing ominous about it! Just that they moved apart. Just like when one moves away from their parents. Nothing to indicate that Heber was only a "Kenite" because he lived in "Kenite country"; as in I am "American" because I live in America. We know that, because after Heber moved, he is still known as a "Kenite". And so was Moses's father in Law! We know that Moses's father in law lived in the land of "Midian".......yet, he is known as a "Kenite". There is nothing in any definitions which says that Kenites are "sons of satan"; No where, never! This is dreamed up by Arnold Murray.

Since Murray likes to go back and examine root words, one should go back and read about what this "Rechabite", Jehonadab, who according to 1 Chron. 2:55, Is a "Kenite", did in 2 Kings 10:23-28. He helped to wipe out Baal worship in Israel! Now why would the Devils' child destroy one of the major ways that God's people stumbled and disobeyed Him? Jesus said a house divided will fall! (Matt.12:26)

Also if one continues to study these Rechabites, who are Kenites, we see that God actually tells the people of Israel to act more like them! (Jeremiah 35:1-16) And he blesses them in verses 18&19: "

"And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you: Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever."

Now, a person whose name is "Jack"....the base, or rootword for that name is John; And John is also the rootword for Jonathan; or vise versa. If you were trying to expain and define names to someone, you would point out these things. This does not indicate that all "Johns" or "Jacks" are related, does it? The WORDS are related, not the people. It is the same with the names in the Bible. How silly to say that people hundreds, perhaps thousands of generations from Cain; called the "Kenites", are related to Cain!

Now, here is one more important mistake of Murray's, when he examines names looking for connections.

The name Enoch:

Gen.4:17)"And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch" [02585]

Gen.5:24)"And Enoch [02585] walked with God: and he [was] not; for God took him."

SAME WORD! One is the direct son of Cain and one is from the line of Seth, but they share the same Strong's number! SAME, not only root word, as is the case with the word "Kenite" and "Cain"...but they are the very same word! Now, to be consistent in Bible interpretation, if one says that "Kenite" from Numbers 22:24 is the descendant of Cain because they share the same Strong's # rootword; Then Enoch who walked with God, must also be a descendant of Cain! Of course he is not. Thus the translation techniques used by Mr. Murray are flawed, and this proves he is no scholar of biblical languages, and his interpretations should not be listened to.

Think about what Arnold Murray says. Really think about it. Jesus Christ himself never named the Kenites as sons of Satan. No one else in all of history has. Why would God have Arnold Murray reveal a "fact" that Jesus Christ did not even reveal? He wouldn't.

In fact, Jesus said, "For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect--if that were possible. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time. " (Mark 13:22-23)

Jesus told us EVERYTHING. Jesus did NOT tell us about Kenites! I repeat, Jesus NEVER named the Kenites as sons of satan! The Bible also says,

"I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; "

(Isa.45:19)

Jesus used parables to try and help us understand what he meant. He used examples from the lives of those he was speaking to, so that they could perhaps grasp the meaning of the Kingdom of Heaven. He was NOT trying to keep any information from us, and waiting for teachers like Murray to explain to us. No. Jesus wanted us to understand. He said that he did not want that "any should perish"! But there are those, such as Shepherd's Chapel, who still refuse to see the simplicity of the Gospel, and do not understand the message of the Bible. They harden their hearts against the message of Christ.

Murray teaches that he volunteered to come to earth, because he "stood with Christ" during satan's rebellion; in the mythical, "first earth age". That he, himself, does not have freewill, and does not need salvation; and that he has been to the "third heaven". If this were true, one would think, like Isaiah and Elijah, that everything he said would be true, and every prediction would come true. Yet, he is wrong! Much of what he teaches is contrary to what the Bible says. The Bible says that we "do not battle against flesh and blood"..... yet Murray insists that our battle is with "Kenites" who are flesh and blood!

Murray even contradicts himself!

In another example, Murray teaches that "hybrids cannot reproduce", but then he also teaches that Cain was a "hybrid" =part satan and part human; so, then how could Cain have a lineage, called "KENITES"?!!

Arnold Murray has made false predictions, and speaks with a double meaning to his words, as is the case when Murray states: "Anyone saying that I use the word (Kenite) to describe Judah is not telling the truth; it would be a lie, because I have never said this."---- No, he teaches that the "Kenites" have infiltrated the tribe of "Judah"; from which we get the word, "Jews".....this a deception! A "clinton speak".......double talk! Just as clinton said he wasn't lying because he held a different meaning to the word, "IS", than most of us do, so does Murray have a different meaning to the word "JEW".

When he says that he does not use the word "Kenite" to describe the Jews, he is playing word games! Take for example his tape #412, "Demons", when speaking of Kenites, Murray states:

"Their sons don't cast out devils - they love them . . . I'm saying it because it's a fact. They love them. It works in their favor - works to their advantage. Why do they steep themselves in pornography? Why do they steep themselves in carnality? Why do you think their own Talmud is the filthiest piece of literature ever written because they're at home with it. They love it. It's their cup of tea. Its Satan's cup of tea."

Who follows the Talmud? Jewish people, of course! Murray said that those who follow the Talmud---which are Jews--- love devils, pornography and are carnal! Clear. Very clear. Anti semitic. Jew hating! He insists that it is not anti-semitic, because he says that these people are not "real" Jews, but pretenders. So, he is not a jew hater, because he loves the "real" Jews....He says that the "our brother Judah gets a bad rap because of the Kenites" .

I ask, what do the Kenites do, which gives the Jews a "bad rap"?!

So, you see, there are "bad" Jews, and "good" Jews! Some are the sons of satan, some are not, according to Shepherd's Chapel!

This is a horrible, and yes, dangerous teaching. It is dangerous to believe that other human beings are not human at all! This leads one to justify hating and killing them. That is completely opposite of everything Jesus taught. The Bible says that God so loved the WHOLE world, that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us all. God does not hope that any should perish, but that all should have everlasting life! (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 2 Peter 3:9)

Murray says he is not racist. He says it is a lie. Yet, as anyone except Shepherds Chapel and other Identity followers, can see, that the Kenite teaching and the above quote about the followers of the Talmud are very, very racist! But, it doesn't stop there! See what you think, when you hear what the man said on his show:

Stereotypical oriental racist, comment! Insulting and hurtful to asian people! Remember, the Bible calls us to a higher standard than the world:

"You may have the faith to believe that there is nothing wrong with what you are doing, but keep it between yourself and God. Blessed are those who do not condemn themselves by doing something they know is all right." Rom.14:22

"That is the plan I follow, too. I try to please everyone in everything I do. I don't just do what I like or what is best for me, but what is best for them so they may be saved." 1 Cor.10:33

Recently, in January 2003, some students of Shepherds Chapel have found the story of the wonderful, faithful Chinese Christian, "Watchman Nee".[click on his name to read about this servant of Jesus Christ, who had victory in Jesus while enduring tribulation in prison for 30 years]

These students are reading his book, and seeing the truth about how a Christian behaves! Of course this truth conflicts with many Shepherds Chapel teachings, and the demeanor of the pastor and students. Some are seeing that perhaps the final authority on Christianity, is not Arnold Murray! Murray doesn't seem to like that! So, this is what Murray had to say about it. HIs racism shows through in this unguarded moment during his broadcast of 1.13.2003:

"Ya, Know......uhmmmmm....It's an amazing thing, we got some GRUNTS running around now, talking about authority...

and it's taken from a Chinese worker's manifest; Probably from the Little Red Book, if it's all known! ...( he chuckles)...

and their tryin' to git authority out of it!

I mean, ...I mean, ..Ya know, people git all messed up when they wanna feel important, I guess! You can be so misled, so easy by traditions of men...make sure you don't. Okay?

It is sooooooooooo good to be wiser than the serpent. Hey, if your not, guess what?...Your easy prey for 'im! He hypnotises and moves in ooooone little slippery thing at a time! There is a .....there is a prime....the word: "ops", from his method of hypnosis and taking a victim with "anthropos"....man! Interesting.....be wiser than the serpent......"

So, he is saying that these students who are reading the works of Watchman Nee, are going to get hypnotised and become victims of satan! If he isn't saying that, I want to know what he is saying! Watchman Nee loved Jesus Christ, and stood with Him to death. At the website posted above, you can read every word that Watchman Nee ever wrote. It is free to anyone who wants it. Every word. Every book that he has written can be downloaded and read and distributed freely! Watchman didn't have anything to hide. And he did not try to. He wanted the world to know about Jesus!

How grave and horrible for Murray to smear this man who sits with Jesus right now! How awful that Murray calls this victim of communism a communist, merely because he is Chinese! But, then Jesus warned us that if we followed him, false teachers would call us "satan", just as they did Him! I have had many Shepherds Chapel students call me by that name, as well.

But, besides the smear on the character of a man he does not know, Murray used some crafty verbal manipulation took place with that comment. He very carefully scares the student into thinking that if they read anything but what he has endorsed, then satan will hypnotise them and take them as a victim! This is a classic cult control tactic! Right there on the air, for all to see!

Be very careful and check out all things. Arnold Murray even tells his listeners to do so! He says not to trust him or any man, but check them out. I have done it, you should too.

Better than that, trust the Holy Spirit to be your Bible interpreter! Arnold Murray was not crucified for you; and was not raised from the dead! Jesus Christ was. "God alone made it possible for you to be in Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made Christ to be wisdom itself. He is the one who made us acceptable to God. He made us pure and holy, and he gave himself to purchase our freedom. As the Scriptures say,

"The person who wishes to boast should boast only of what the Lord has done." (1 Cor.1:30-31)

When a Shepherd's Chapel student talks, he boasts of the knowledge of his teacher; or of his own Bible studies. He claims that he is so much more "Biblically literate" than everyone else. This is wrong.

"So don't take pride in following a particular leader. Everything belongs to you: Paul and Apollos and Peter; the whole world and life and death; the present and the future. Everything belongs to you, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God." 1 Cor.3:21-23

Here are a few of the common phrases, and arguments used by Shepherd's Chapel students, and my response to them

"Please explain these verses.

Gen 9:18 18-- "And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan." Gen 9:22 22 --"And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without." Gen 9:24-25 24--"And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren."

Here is what uncovering means:

Leviticus 20:11-" And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Leviticus 18:8 -"The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness."

Murray says that Ham had sex with Noah's wife, because to "UNCOVER your father's nakedness", is to have sex with his wife. Then Murray says to check out the verses in Leviticus which accurately show that to be true! Pretty sneaky! Please notice the play on words, and the deception! YES, to uncover your father's nakedness" DOES mean to have sex with your father's wife.

The problem lies in that Ham DID NOT UN-COVER his father's nakedness!! Nope. Check it out. Read Gen. 9:21 It says:

"Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and BECAME uncovered in his tent".....

NO Ham, anywhere around! Noah "became uncovered" all on his own! No one "uncovered his nakedness". Ham came in and "saw" the nakedness of his father, according to the next verse! He did not UNCOVER anything!

Ham dishonored his father. Clear in scripture, especially when we see that the brothers put a blanket over their shoulders so that they would not also see their father's nakedness! Why would they walk in backwards, if Ham's sin was more than seeing his father naked, and making fun of him?

It is dishonorable to see other people's nakedness and to make jest of it, like Ham did. See Exodus 20:26--- where we see that God did not want others to "see the nakedness" of the priests either! This dishonored the priests, diminishing them in the eyes of the people, and allowing them to dismiss the Words of God that were spoken through these God given messengers. Ham tried to diminish his father's authority, by making fun of Noah to his brothers. He did not sleep with his father's wife. Check it out!

Also, why in the world, wouldn't the Bible speak clearly about Ham sleeping with his father's wife? It clearly states all kinds of horrible deeds. And clearly told us about Reuban sleeping with one of Jacob's concubines in Genesis 35:22.

"What part did Adam and Eve cover with a fig leaf...?? Did they wipe red apple juice off their mouths? OR did they cover or hide the parts they sinned with.???

As far as Adam and Eve covering themselves before meeting the Lord. Read this verse:

'There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas ... and Nathanael ... and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. ... They went forth [to go fishing] ... and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore.... Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked), and did cast himself into the sea. (John 21: 2-7)

Perhaps God provided us with Peter's incident as a commentary of sorts on what was going on in the minds of Adam and Eve in Genesis 3. One usually dis-robes when one goes swimming! However, in Peter's case, he put his robe on prior to diving into the water! He covered himself, not because of some sexual perversion on his part, but rather because he was going into the presence of Jesus his Lord and God! In our mortal sinful state it is indecent for anyone (Adam and Eve included) to be unclothed - either physically or spiritually - in the presence of our Holy God.

Also, if you have children, you know that when they are babies they love to run around naked! But along about the time of the age of 5--when their wisdom increases--they do not want their mommies to bathe them or see them naked anymore! And when they are teen! Forget it! Adam and Eve were babies, and then all of a sudden gained knowledge. Only a carnal, dirty mind would think otherwise.

"So, why isn't Cain in Adam's genealogy?"

Cain IS in Adam's genealogy! He is in the Bible as the first Son of Adam and Eve. He is even in Strong's concordance as such, isn't he?! ..Read the Bible. Try Genesis 5:4:

"After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters."

Why aren't those sons and daughters of Adam in named in "Adam's genealogy"? Are they also sons and daughters of satan? Of course not. And neither is Cain. God chose to tell the story of the line of Seth. Because the Bible is about Jesus Christ. The whole thing...it all leads to Jesus! This is the line that the LORD Jesus came from, and that is why God had Moses write it down. This is why no other children of Adam have their genealogies in the Bible. No hidden message. Just the facts.

This is such a silly question, served up as "proof" that Cain is the son of satan. Think about what you are saying when you teach this lie about the "serpent seed". By teaching it, Murray really rewrites what the Bible really says, to what he THINKS it says! The Bible says that God put enmity between satan's "seed" and EVE'S SEED. If the Bible is speaking of true physical "seed", as Murray says it is, then Cain and Abel were both Eve's "SEED"! So, the logical conclusion of Murray's teaching, is that God put enmity between Adam's "seed" and satan's "seed"...when that IS NOT what the BIBLE says! That is a subtle twisting of the scripture, which changes the meaning.

The only "seed" that satan has is deception, and lies. This serpent seed doctrine is one of those deceptions and a lie.

"Do you know that God's name isn't anywhere in the book of Esther? Except as an accrostic? That is for the student with eyes to see! It is God telling the student that even though this book is a Kenite lie, He will use it. God allowed the book to be put there, so that we can see how the Kenite works...'those who say they are Jews, but are not' " This is the only book in the Bible not quoted in the New Testament. This proves it is Kenite.

Sadly, you are the one who has been tricked by a satanic lie! Oh how I grieve for those who think themselves wise, because they have fallen for a false teaching!

Listen, and check this out. God's name is not mentioned in the book of Song of Solomon either! Not even as an accrostic! Song of Solomon, Obadiah and Nahum are not quoted in the New Testament either! These are worthless proofs...mere slight of hand tricks, to get you to accept the idea that Satan was able yet again, to muddy up God's plans! How sad. Please, Please stop listening to fools, and shut down all voices except Gods. Just read your Bible. New Testament first. God will answer all your questions, if you give him a chance.

I have asked WHERE in the Bible it says to teach "Chapter by Chapter, verse by verse"? This is the response I get:

Isaiah 28:13 "But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken."

Or in modern english, so that we can understand, the verse reads:

So then, the word of the Lord to them will become:

Do and do, do and do,

rule on rule, rule on rule;

a little here, a little there-

so that they will go and fall backward,

be injured and snared and captured.

If one would only read the entire chapter to get the context, instead of pulling out one verse, it would become clear that this is God imitating the mockery of the drunken priests, in verses 7 and 10! Isaiah had admonished the drunken priests and prophets, and they had in return, mocked his corrective advice! The oft quoted "precept upon precept; line upon line; line upon line; here a litte, there a little", which Shepherd's Chapel says is a call to study chapter by chapter, verse by verse...is actually translierated in Hebrew monosyllables, which are: "Sav lasav, sav lasav, Kav lakav, kav lakav, Zer'er sham, zer'er sham" These imitations are of a young child's babbling, and these drunken priests likened it to Isaiah's preaching! It is mocking from drunken priests, not a call to study, like Arnold Murray says he does! Check it out.

But, Murray rarely teaches exclusively chapter by chapter, verse by verse, anyway! Mr. Murray, just like other preachers, uses other verses in the Bible to better illustrate the chapter he is teaching on. Murray, just like other preachers, also uses examples from life, and history to clarify the meaning of his chosen passage. Murray,
just like other preachers, also preaches on certain subjects, (such as his topic of "The wrath of God"; or "Vengence") and uses numerous Bible passages, which are
NOT chapter by chapter, verse by verse; to make his point!

I actually took a stop clock to his broadcast of Jan. 23, 2003, to see how much of his
59 minute broadcast was actually Bible....and how much was Murray's idea of what the Bible said, or his opinion of various subjects. He rarely confines his comments to the Bible passage he reads! There was 7:39 Minutes of actual Bible reading, amounting to 32 verses, in 4 different books of the Bible! Certainly NOT 'Chapter by chapter, verse by verse"! And hardly "unique"! Most certainly just like other preachers, reading a few verses in one chapter, a few in another and so on and so on!

What I have heard Murray do, which is NOT like other preachers, is to interject extra-biblical writings, actually, Doctrines and TRADTIONS of men....myths and legends; into a Bible passage, as if it were a fact written in the Bible! Take this reading of Isa. 53; used in the study of Acts, in which Murray interjects an idea from the TRADITIONs OF GLASTONBURY:

"Verse 9, Isaiah chapter 53; And it reads: "And he made his grave with the wicked; I mean there were two malfactors, ah, crucified on each side, and with the rich in his death, he was buried in Joseph of Arimathea, Mary's ah, Uncle's, ah tomb. A rich mans tomb. The tin man they called him...."

There is no break, it all roles off his tongue like it is FACT! As if the "Traditions of Glastonbury" is a factual part of scripture! Incredible! And that, my friend, is adding to the scriptures......

Should Christians point out false Teachers and false teaching? Doesn't the Bible tell us NOT to judge? Didn't Jesus tell us to "leave the tares alone", until he comes back at the "harvest"?

Let us examine those questions.

As in all things, one must see what the Bible says about false teachers. One could ask if there are examples of New Covenant Apostles exposing false teachers in the Bible.

And so we open our Bibles to Timothy, and we see Paul DID expose false teachers! And he named names! He didn't "take names"....he exposed them. He named specific ministries and exposed them as false. The names are in the Bible. These men and their ministries have been exposed as false teachers for all the generations of Christians to see!

"This kind of talk spreads like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are examples of this. They have left the path of truth, preaching the lie that the resurrection of the dead has already occurred; and they have undermined the faith of some." (2 Tim. 17-18)

"Cling tightly to your faith in Christ, and always keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples of this. I turned them over to Satan so they would learn not to blaspheme God." (1Tim.1:20)

Paul not only named the false teachers, but he also revealed their modus operendi. Paul shows the subtlety of Satan. In telling us about Hymenaeus and Philetus, he shows us that the deciever begins with the teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ---the deciever says he believes it. The deciever is often on the "path of truth", but somewhere along the line, he caves in to his own pride, and leaves the path of Christ, and starts to add his own ideas to make a different "gospel".

The deciever begins to tell others, his "deeper truths".... Now here is an alarm for God's people! When you hear that phrase, the alarms should go off! In Reading the New Living Translation, I even found this phrase addressed about false doctrines! Will you heed God's alarm? Read Revelation 2:24:

"But I also have a message for the rest of you in Thyatira who have not followed this false teaching (`deeper truths,' as they call them--depths of Satan, really). I will ask nothing more of you"(NLT)

False teachers draw people in little by little, feeding hungry people doctrines different from Biblical Christianity. Chapter by chapter, verse by verse, they read and twist the scripture; undermining the faith of some; they "killed those who should not have died"....(Ezek. 13:19) These "Pastors" trick people by saying that they have "special" visions, and knowledge reserved for God's most trusted servants. Yet, that is not what the Bible says! Check it out:

"Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism"

Acts 10:34

Everything that God has, is availible to every Christian! No, we are not "cookie cutter" Christians...we all don't have the same special gifts and powers; but God does not withhold his truth. He gives us different abilities, yet his Gospel and truth is availible to us all, who believe on Christ Jesus!

Gal. 4:7 "Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, everything he has belongs to you." NLT

We are all the same, in Jesus Christ!

As for the "visions and reading of "signs"....Check out the Word of God:

"You have not gone up into the gaps to build a wall for the house of Israel to stand in battle on the day of the LORD. They have envisioned futility and false divination, saying, "Thus says the LORD!' But the LORD has not sent them; yet they hope that the word may be confirmed. Have you not seen a futile vision, and have you not spoken false divination? You say, "The LORD says,' but I have not spoken."

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Because you have spoken nonsense and envisioned lies, therefore I am indeed against you," says the Lord GOD."

Ezek. 13:5-8

The lies and vain nonsense false teachers focus on, take their student's eyes off of Jesus Christ, who is the only one who can fill in the gaps of the wall of God's kingdom. These teachers take the emphasis off of developing Spiritual defenses, by putting on the armour of the Holy Spirit, and on to the visions and thoughts of the teacher! Their teaching focuses on the powers, names and abilities of satan. Their teaching does not focus on light and truth, but darkness and lies. Check out what the Bible says:

"... Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise."

Phil.4:7

In many cases, such as the case of Hymenaeus, the deciever twists the truth of THE RESURRECTION .

Not such a big deal, right? One wouldn't think that this would have anything to do with one's salvation, so why does Paul judge and condemn this Hymenaeus for teaching different than Paul does? Is it vanity on Paul's part?

Well, if what Arnold Murray says is true, that 'Paul teaches on 3 different levels'' .... and "We are not all made from the same cookie cutter," Then it could be said that Hymenaeus was probably just on a "different level"....... he could have been teaching about the "spiritual"; a different level of teaching.......why not just "Put it on a shelf", and go on to other things?

According to the teaching of Shepherd's Chapel, Paul should not have publically ridiculed Hymenaeus. As SC students always say, 'Isn't satan the "accuser of the Bretheren"? Yet, here we have an example in the Scriptures of Paul accusing a follower of Christ...Hymenaeus was still teaching about Jesus, and bringing in many converts. It could be asked, as some have said to me about my site here, "Isn't it better that these people believe in Jesus, than the physical resurrection?"

I guess the answer, from this lesson about Paul and Hymenaeus, is "no"!

The work that Jesus did, is all about the Resurrection...the two are not separated!

Why would Paul smear a man's reputation? A man who Paul himself said was on the path of truth? Paul goes so far as to say that Hymenaeus was in satan's hands! Why would Paul say this about a "brother", unless the false teaching is so serious that it must be said?

Either Murray is wrong, about "leaving the tares", and not pointing out the false teaching of those who say they are Christian, or Paul is.. I don't believe that Paul is wrong!

If it is wrong to name false teachers and speak out against them, Paul would not have named these men for people read about them for 2,000 years!

The Bible says that "there is a way at seems right unto man, but the end thereof is death" (Prov. 14:12;16:25). Obviously God put these stories about false teachers in the Bible to teach us, to show us what is important. Obviously, the Re surrection is a
very important issue, that indeed does affect our salvation! A teacher who incorrectly teaches about The Resurrection, is reported in the Bible as being "turned over to satan".......that teacher's teaching is from satan!

The Bible says, that those who move from the teaching of Jesus Christ, and his religion, "do not have God", are not to be endured in the Church, but rather ought to be excommunicated. That is not my opinion. That is the opinion of God, who wrote the Bible! These should be cast out of the Church, and so delivered to Satan. That by their pain they might learn how serious it is to blaspheme. One needs to identify them, and judge them, to do that. Check it out:(2 John 1:8-10;)(2 Tim. 17-18)(1Tim.1:20)(2 Thessalonians 3:6)

The Body of Christ, functioning properly, should be excising these false teachings and standing against the "wolves" (Titus 1:9). But somehow Satan has duped us into believing that if we obey God's instructions, we are the ones "causing division", instead of the false prophets and teachers (wolves) we are commanded to rebuke!
(Titus 1:11-2:1). Satan has attacked the church's "immune system", and we accept and make excuses for the wolves, who take advantage of the flock, we call them "brothers" (2 Jn 7-11)!!

That is the purpose of this site. To rebuke and expose the false teaching of one of the wolves. One who seems as harmless as a sheep! But, his teaching guts the Gospel of Jesus, and kills the student who follows it.

This page will deal with specific teachings and sayings by Arnold Murray. It will be a progressive page, always changing.

1 Peter 2:1 shows us that all false teachers SECRETLY bring in heresies. They keep some of their "teachings" hidden, or masked from the student, for a time, they don't expose these teachings until that student is indoctrinated a little more.

In the case of Shepherd's Chapel, Arnold Murray says to "put it on a shelf" , if you don't "understand" the doctrines he teaches, [if you disagree with his weird ideas, he says that you don't understand, because God has not "opened your eyes" yet, but he says, "that's okay, you'll catch up"! ] it is because "further study is needed"!

False teachers always use the gospel as a sort of hook, to bring in followers.

They say they believe in Jesus, and His Gospel, but....they say there is much more that they know, than the Gospel of Jesus, which will truly set you free! Arnold Murray teaches that salvation is just "milk for babies"....and what he teaches is for only the
"serious student:" who can "eat meat"! Again, THAT IS NOT WHAT THE SCRIPTURES SAY!

The Bible says:

1 Cor.1:18

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

As with all false teachers, Shepherds Chapel sounds Christian, say they are Christian, and use Christian terms........then, after a while, after you are comfortable with them, they reveal a doctrine you never heard before....the "secrete" privately revealed to the
"elect" who follow Arnold Murray; who is God's "special messenger". Murray teaches that he is one of 7,000 such messengers!

Here are some things that one does not realise about the beliefs of Shepherd's Chapel, until they get into his teaching "a little deeper".

One would never guess the heresy of this group, by reading their "statement of faith". To understand the true foundations of Shepherd's Chapel, the core beliefs, one must dig a little deeper! They indeed are cloaked.

Take for instance, Murray's own "In Answer to Critics" Murray says:

" I also should point out to those not familiar with the Shepherd's Chapel that we are completely independent; therefore we are not affiliated with any other church, denomination or group. As a matter of record, the only group of which I am a member is with the "Chosen Few" ...."

When in fact, Mr. Murray is actually a member in good standing with the "Soldiers of the Cross" . He recieved his Ministerial license from them, in 1958. And According to the State of Arkansas, he registered Shepherd's Chapel as a Non-profit Corporation under that name, with that affiliation. The State of Arkansas lists "Shepherd's Chapel" as a "ficticious" (false) name! Don't believe me? Check it out your self. Go to the Arkansas Secretary of State Site: http://www.sosweb.state.ar.us/corps/search_all.php

And type in "All Types"; "Soldiers of the Cross"; "Arnold B. Murray"; "Gravette"; "Arkansas"....and click find. All this information is there for you to see. Check it out.

Also, in Murray's answer to critics, he states that,

" I have never claimed to have received a doctorate from Roy Gillaspie. I do not know where some of these "researchers" came up with this. Roy Gillaspie was simply a beloved teacher of God's Word and I have never said or implied any such thing."

The Christian researchers came up with this, because Roy Gillaspie is the one who signed Murray's license to be a minister! Roy Gillaspie, who said that he had a Theology Doctorate, signed this license as well as: John Alvin Lovell, who stated that he had a Doctorate of Divinity, and Oliver Kenneth Goff, who stated that he held a Doctorate of Divinity as well. All these men ordained Mr. Arnold Murray. Yet Murray states that Gillaspie is little more to him than a 'beloved teacher of God's Word'.

This is very deceptive. He is hiding who he really is, and whose religious traditions he really teaches! Oh, Murray teaches traditions.....old traditions, old myths and doctrines; with his new "Kenite" spin on them. Don't be fooled! Don't be tricked! And if you have been, get out now, don't let pride keep you in this deception! Jesus Christ can save you. He wants to.

In the meanwhile, please look up the teachings of the men who signed Mr. Murray's license and the "Soldiers of the Cross" based in Englewood, CO. (Note: there is a group by the same name started a few years ago to serve Vietnam Vets who are in prison. This is not the same group)

These are a few other, Shepherds Chapel teachings, that Murray and his followers would not like you to hear, unless they are couched in their rhetoric. Unless you have a foundation of Shepherd's Chapel heretical teaching before you hear them. Ask Shepherd's Chapel students, and their teacher point-blank, these questions, and sit back and listen to them dance around their answers!:

1.) Does Shepherd's Chapel teach that the Bible contains out and out lies,
written by satan? Does it teach that the book of Esther was written by satan, through the Kenite? That the story did not actually happen? Thus the Bible contains satanic lies?! Why doesn't Murray air a study on the Book of Esther?

2.) Does Arnold Murray teach that to be "Born Again" , means reborn into a former spirit body that we had in "another lifetime"-- in another earth age?

3.) Does Murray teach that he, himself and 6,999 others do not need,
"salvation"? That they were saved by their own actions, in "another life"?

4.) Does Arnold Murray teach that it is the "Kenites", the sons of satan, who live in Israel; and run the Israeli Government? Does he teach that it was these "Kenites" who were killed in the Holocaust, and that those who survived spread "lies", and that 6 million did not actually die? Does Murray think that Queen Elizabeth of England is a "true Israelite"--the actual person who sits on the throne of David? Does he teach that she is the true "line of Judah"? Would his teaching lead one to believe that Joe Lieberman and Alan Greenspan are "Kenites"--sons of satan?

5.) Do you believe that Jesus rose from death in a body of flesh and bone? Or that Jesus merely "took his flesh with him", so that people would believe that he was God? Wouldn't this be a deception? Wouldn't this teaching make Jesus a deciever?

6.) Does Murray teach that it is his opinion that Moses did not die?

7.) Does Murray teach that man was created in HIS OWN (man's) image? The image of the man's former incarnation in a former earthage--in "another lifetime", where this man walked in a "spirit body"? That man was not created in God's image, but his own?

8.) Does Murray teach that the sin in the Garden of Eden, was Sex with satan?

9.) Does Murray teach that there an eighth day of creation?

10.) Who is my "neighbor" that Jesus said I should love?

11.) Does Murray teach that the 5th Trump of Revelation really sounded in 1969?

12.) Does Murray claim to see pages of the Bible float literally in the air, on his right?

13.) Does Murray claim to see people's "souls"?

14.) Does Murray teach that Noah's flood was only a local flood? Does Murray teach that Ham had sex with his mother, or step mother?

15.) Does Murray teach that there are fallen Angels here on earth, now, having sex with human women, and having children?

16.) Did Murray teach that Satan, the anti-Christ, was to be revealed in 1981, and if a person did not understand this, he had no understanding of Scriptures at all? Did this happen?

17.) Does Murray teach that God has a sense of humour, and is sarcastic? Where are the Scriptures to back that up? What basis does he use for this assertion to teach that Jesus is being sarcastic in John 8:37 and 8:56?

18.) Did Arnold Murray say that he ascended into the "third Heaven", on Dec. 2, 1980?

19.) Does Murray teach that to understand the Bible, you must believe that Cain was the son of satan, and that his children live on? Does he teach that this knowledge is the "key of David" which unlocks the scriptures?

20) Does Murray teach that this life is just a testing area, to pay or reward what we did in a "past life".......a past world?

21) Why doesn't Murray use the Bible that he wrote in 1978, The Shepherd's Bible?

22) Does Murray teach that he and those who believe his teachings are the "elect" and EARNED their salvation, in the first earth age? That salvation is not a free gift?

23) What is your definition of Salvation?

You followers of Shepherds Chapel, think about this point. There is much that you don't tell your friends and family about what you believe, until they start getting more involved in Shepherd's Chapel themselves.

If people don't seem open to SC teaching, you keep those teachings to yourself. This should be a red flag for you, because the TRUE Gospel is not something you hide, or hold back! One is not ashamed of the TRUTH.......not secretive of the truth......only falsehoods, and sin makes us want to hide!

When you go to a Baptist church, do they hold back any of their doctrines? When you go to an Assembly of God church, do they hold back telling you anything that they believe? What about the Christian radio ministers you listen to and enjoy: RC Sproul; D.James Kennedy; the late Walter Martin; the late J. Vernon Magee; John MacArthur; even Pat Robertson......they all lay out their beliefs......all of them, for anyone to see! They tell you where they studied, where they got their ordination, and their theological education. Those who hide their doctrines are: Jehovah's Witnesses; Mormons; and Shepherd's Chapel!! Think about it. If you have to hide what you believe......there is something wrong. The truth is shouted from the rooftops! Peter, Paul and the other apostles did not hide their beliefs, they went to prison for them!

Think about dear Christian friends and family that you KNOW love Jesus. Do they accept SC doctrines? If not, why not? Do not fool yourself, it is not because God has given them a "different understanding"..... It is not because they are not "ready or able" to accept the "truth"; they are not "immature".....no. In fact they are so mature, and grown so much in the LORD, that they recognise a false teaching when they see one! The doctrines that you follow are false!

You do not have a "deeper" understanding.........you have been fooled! Don't continue in that deception just because of your pride; don't stay in false teaching because you find it hard to accept that you were able to be tricked! Don't let pride keep you from Jesus and His Kingdom......do not harden your heart against this prompting from the Holy Spirit! You may never have another chance to turn from falsehood, and know the true Jesus Christ!

Now, here are some actual words from Arnold Murray that his followers like to keep secrete. Murray threatens people who print them with lawsuits. Many websites of his followers, who post Murray's teachings and transcribe his newsletters, have been closed under threat of being sued from Shepherd's Chapel! Why does Murray want to keep his words hidden from the general public?

These are some of the weird things the man has said, at his "Fall Fellowship" and "Passover" gatherings, that no Shepherd Chapel students wants their family and friends to know that Murray says. Many students do not tell these things, because they know their friends and family will think Murray is crazy; and they will think the SC student is a fool for following Arnold Murray!

Do you see how Murray intimidates a Christian who does not believe in his silly myths about angels in spaceships, calling them "immature"?!

I call this, the "Emporer's New Clothes" tactic of intimidation used by cults! Just as the con men in this Children's classic story convinced a whole kingdom that they were too stupid to see the Emporer's wonderful new suit, Murray has convinced some poor souls that the cloth he has woven, the tale of the Kenite...is really wonderful, and if one does not see it.......they are "immature", "lazy", or "stupid". In reality, there is no cloth! Murray is actually working on an empty loom! He is walking around naked! For if you are not clothed in the righteousness of Jesus, you are naked! And, just like the fairy tale, a Child, Jesus, is going to shout out, that Murray is naked! The cloth woven by Murray will prove to be empty, and people who follow it, will know that their pride kept them from admitting that they actually knew all along it was false teaching!

Speaking of "Rael" and the Raelians, Mr. Murray included this group in his recent Current events teaching, for 2003! Mr. Murray, who teaches that it is not right to point out false teachers by name, certainly had some things to say about the Raelians! Actually, saying Murray named the group is not entirely accurate. Mr. Murray got their name wrong! Here is what he had to say:

"I mean you talk about 03 brought out the fruit cakes! The nuts! I mean we got
Raphael-do you know what the word Raphael in Hebrew means? That's the name for the fallen angels basically. He claims that you came from a fallen angel that came down here with DNA and packed it all together and wrapped it and there you were! They really don't believe in God and they have a lady spokesman and she is kinda a beauty. (A "BEAUTY"??! His eyes are real bad!) She has volunteered to entertain the green boys if they ever come back. I tell you something, this is so fake so cornball"

Why isn't it "cornball and fake" when Murray teaches that fallen angels are going to return to earth and have sex with human women? When Murray teaches this, one is called "immature" if they do not believe it; but Murray calls the Raelians "cornball and fake" when they teach the SAME THING?!

Oh, I don't have my faith in the Raelians, but their teaching is no more cornball and fake than Murrays! They are two sides of the same coin! "Rael" says that he knows "secrets" that regular humanbeings do not. Murray says the same.

On his January 23, 2003 broadcast, he said:

"Keep trying to build your faith because, I GUARANTEE YOU....there are people... well....I really don't....uh....um...there are people that come from many miles to THIS location to experience certain things...is it talked about? No! No it isn't...and here I am talking about it on national televison! (chuckle)"

Hidden knowledge, that can only be imparted by going to Gravette Ark. LOL! It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. There is a word that means "hidden knowledge. That word is "OCCULT". Are you an occultist? Jesus can and will set you free.

Here is another example of Murray's statements and false teaching. Stay alert and see the tricks this man is playing on you!

WHAT?! DON'T MAKE A BIG FANFARE OUT OF JESUS CHRIST'S RETURN???????!!!!

That is horrible! Who doesn't want us to make a big deal of Christ's return? Satan, of course! ... Our Lord's return will be the biggest event ever! Of course we are suppose to make a big deal out of it! When my God returns, it will be a very big fanfare. The Bible often talks about that, but I have never come across any verse where Jesus told us not to make a "big fanfare" out of his return.....

How accurate is Murray, when he tells a historical antidote?

Well while in the study of Acts 8, speaking of the sorcerer, Simon, Murray says that
"Simon started a religion called, "Simony". "Simony" is NOT a religion! It is a religious practice. The practice is the payment of money to recieve spiritual gifts! We see examples of "Simony" everyday, on Christian television!

Murray insists that the "Kenites" [who he states emphatically are the literal sons of satan; and whose descendants are the Jews in the Israeli government-among others] became scribes and corrupted the biblical manuscripts, so those manuscripts can not be trusted. The only Bible translation which Murray even trusts a little bit, is the 1611 KJV--that is if it is Bullingers, and one looks up the words Murray shows them, in a strongs concordance. Yet even then, Murray ignores the strongs definition, if it does not support his twisted doctrines! And, even the Bullinger's is "wrong" according to Murray, in several places! .

Example: Murray says that Cain is the son of satan and Eve, yet the strong's clearly states that Cain is the "eldest son of ADAM and Eve"!

Another example would be that Murray teaches his students that the Book of Esther is a "Kenite lie"!! (Esther tape #124 available from SC), Thus he teaches that the Bible contains satanic lies. A book of the Holy Bible is written by Satan! That is what he teaches! Sure the Bible "contains" lies... like David when he lived with the Philistines, he lied, and used deception. Many humanbeings did, and it is in the Bible.
But Murray says that a whole book of the Bible-- is written by satan, and is untrue, a lie! There was no Haman who tried to kill the Jews, and there was no faithful Queen Esther! Not according to Murray! He says it is all phony! Murray says that the holiday of Purim is a "Kenite" holiday. Again, his anti-semetic racism shines through! That equates to saying that it is a "satanic" holiday-- because Murray teaches that "Kenites" are satanic! Now, why would anyone say that this story about those who try to kill Jews, yet instead are killed themselves, is a lie?! I think it is obvious.

Rest assured that Esther is a true story. And a wonderful lesson, forever. All who have ever tried to kill the Jews will end up dead in their own plans, just as Haman did! Adolf Hitler does not even have a grave, yet the Jewish people have their own nation once again, and enjoy greater prosperity than ever!

Murray's students will not believe anything anyone says who does not accept the Serpent Seed/ Kenite doctrine!

This makes it almost impossible to witness to SC students. If a person rejects the Kenite teaching, the SC student suspects that the other person may be a Kenite, who is trying to trick them; or perhaps they are "lazy", and "don't study their Bible" enough. In any case, anything the person says, is not to be trusted, by the SC student!

Thus, in this manner, by saying that believing the Kenite teaching the Bible is "unlocked"; the Shepherd Chapel students believe that wisdom begins in
knowing satans sons! This goes right along with their belief that satan was "the tree of Knowledge of good and evil" in the garden of Eden! But, of course my friends, that is not what the Bible says:

Proverbs 1:7 "Fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge. Only fools despise wisdom and discipline."

This Kenite teaching also keeps the SC student from trusting the modern English Bible translations.

So, they can not read the bible in their own language! They do not trust the scholars who worked on the modern translations. They have judged these translators without knowing one thing about them! They believe gossip about these translators, without finding out the facts. On the other hand, the students totally trust Murray's translation! Without question, despite the fact that Mr. Murray gives no proof of any education in Biblical languages and has failed the test of Deut.18:22.

Murray's usual method of teaching is to read a sentence, or a few words, or even just
one word; then he stops and translates for the students. He says, "in other words"; "that is"; "this means"---then he tells the followers what Murray says that God really
means! A few seconds of he Bible, and 10 minutes of his own thoughts! And often those thoughts have nothing to do with the subject of the passage! On his 1.23.03 broadcast, he had 7 minutes of actual Bible in a 59 minute show! His commentary included the comments about mystical things happening at his compound!

Murray often tells his viewers to "check him out", to see if the words mean what he says they do. Of course he tells them WHAT words to check out! He uses the definitions found in the Strong's concordance, of his chosen word. He will use literal translation of the original word, if it supports his theology, but if not, he moves to the "rootwords" or even the words that have affinity with the subject word. Just so they fit in with his preconceived ideas! Other times he even uses the old english word, if it fits his theology better! In another tactic he uses the meaning of a word in one part of the Bible, say a greek NT word, and then he applies that meaning to the Hebrew OT word, if that will support his doctrines! As is the case in the word "beguiled" in Gen. 3:13.

Let's see how well Murray actually translates the Bible:

Let's look at Murray's interpretation of 2 Peter 1:5, If we compare his interpretation to the modern translations, we will see who has corrupted the text!

He says; "this word "virture" is a very interesting word in the Greek; I choose not to actually go to it, because it, it is not in the gender sense,but it is ...very MALE---

and it means; ah, how can I say this- very...so that you don't take it in the sense of gender; It means very, MANLY, in the sense of strength. STRONG! To, to, to have one the ability to LIFT A THING; that is what it means."

First of all, as stated above, the word is VIRTUE, not virture...and in this verse it is a
FEMININE noun! If you will only look in the strong's concordance, it says: "from the same as 730; TDNT - 1:457,77; n f "---This means noun, feminine. It is NOT the same word as #730! They both have the same "root word". That is all! Check it out. I have linked the number and the greek word, in the following paragraph, with the definition.

He chose to not "actually go to it" because he stretches the meaning to the breaking point! Check him out, look it up! The word for "virtue", in Greek, is Strong's #
703--"ARETE"-- (click on # and word) which It means "virtuous course of feeling and action; Moral goodness; excellence such as modesty and purity". It was translated as "praise" in 1 Peter 2:9! It is correctly translated in the NIV as "goodness"----and it was never used as "the ability to lift a thing"!! To twist the verse to change the meaning, Murray goes to Strongs word #730, which SHARES the same "root word", as #703! This is deceptive.

The verse in the KJV:

"And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;"

Now lets look at how the modern bibles translated this verse:

NASB: "Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge,"

NIV: "For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;"

NLT: "So make every effort to apply the benefits of these promises to your life. Then your faith will produce a life of moral excellence. A life of moral excellence leads to knowing God better."

Now, lets look at how Murray translates the verse:

"And besides this, God is very careful, to add to your sure knowledge that He exists, the strength and ability to be a 'DOER'! And to this strength to be a 'doer', the knowledge or intelligence to do it with!"

The meaning of the verse is completely changed! Instead of an exhortation to moral excellence, Murray changes it to mean that God will make someone a "doer"..... He changes a call to spiritual growth, into a call for work! Subtle changes, that change the meaning of scripture, one verse at a time! This may seem like a benign case; no big deal. But, remember the way to get a man to swallow an elephant, is one bite at a time!

I notice during this lesson, that Murray just skips right over 2 Peter 1:20. Meaning he does not examine the words, nor even talk about this verse! He read it, but then he moves right on to verse 21! One should read and examine this verse, that Murray did not examine:

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation."

Most of Murray's interpretations are his own private interpretation! No other teacher in all of the 2,000 years of Christianity, including Christ, has ever named the "Kenites" as the progeny of satan! Only Murray!

Murray often employs this interesting tactic. He reads an important verse, but does not acknowledge that verse, instead moving on, to emphasize on a single word in another verse.

His method is like the harmless trick we play on our sweet trusting children. You know the one, you are sitting together eating, and you point behind the child and say: "OH MY GOSH! LOOK AT THAT! IT IS A HORRIBLE BEAST!" Then of course the child looks behind them and you snatch some good treat off of their plate! It is just silly fun, that does not hurt the child.

Murray does the same thing. But, it is not harmless. Murray invites young Christians to his table, to "eat" of the Word of God, and then points behind them to the "horrible beast"; the "Kenite"! Murray gets the Child of God to look away from their good food of Jesus Christ, to look for a beast, and that is deadly!

One more example from the 2 Peter teaching. Chapter 2 begins:

"But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the LORD who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction."

The greatest sin and the most damning work of satan is misrepresentation of the truth and its consequent deception. Nothing is more wicked than for someone to claim to speak for God to the salvation of souls, when in reality he speaks for satan to the damnation of souls. [see Deut.13:1-18; 18:20; Jer. 23] Satan has always endeavored to infiltrate Christianity. False teachers parade themselves as Christian Pastors and teachers. "Heresies" are self-designed religious lies, which lead to factions. In the above verse, the phrase, "denying the Lord" exposes the depth of the crime and guilt of the false teachers.

The Greek word for LORD, is used 10 times in the NT and means: "one who has supreme authority". This refers to the deity of Jesus Christ! False teachers always have an erroneous Christology. They may deny the virgin birth; the bodily resurrection; the Trinity.....but at the heart of it all is a refusal to submit to the authority of the Truth of Jesus Christ!

In Murray's interpretation he moves away from the deity of Christ, with the word "LORD". He instead focuses in on the "possible" rootword, for Strong's # 1203
"despotes"; the

POSSIBLE ROOTWORD, which is combined with "posis", could mean. "husband", Murray latches onto that possible part of the "rootword", and goes on to make that the focus of the verse! He says: "Peter is trying to refer to the time of the end, when Christ returns as husband". If Peter was focusing on the end, why wouldn't he say so?! Peter is telling us that there will always be people who play these kind of word games, to change the meaning of the Bible! Will you listen?
Peter is telling you who is a false teacher! It is the person who denies Jesus. Who denies Jesus? Those who teach that Jesus is not a real person, but only God in another mode, or role! And who teaches that? Murray for one!

Murray teaches as he reads this verse, that in the end times people will deny the Lord,
'because they have not been taught that there are two "Lords". ' meaning the anti-christ! Just to call the anti-Christ "Lord" is blasphemy! He is not my lord, or any Christian's lord!

But here again, another example of Murray taking the student's eyes off of Jesus, and putting the focus on to satan! See how subtle that is?! Can you not see that?

Next, while reading the same passage, instead of going on the the next verse, to teach "verse by verse".... Murray goes on a diatribe mocking Easter, and a symbol of the Trinity: the egg! This has nothing to do with the verse! Murray says that it "makes one weep to think of Christians desecrating "the most Holy of all days". Which Murray says is the Crucifixion. Easter does not celebrate the
Crucifixion, nor is the most Holy day in Christianity the Crucifixion!......it celebrates the Resurrection! The Resurrection day is the most Holy day in the Christian calendar! Satan enjoys the day of crucifixion, since he has no idea of God's plans, he thought he had won...Christ was dead. That is an image that he likes to focus on, a dead Jesus on the cross....but Christians celebrate an EMPTY
cross!!! For that is what differentiates Christianity from all other religions! Our Savior is ALIVE! And so shall we live, just as he does!

Murray gets a student to take their eyes off of Jesus, and away from the good food of the Bible. And during this verse, it is never more clear; as Murray goes on to describe the pagan rituals some cultures celebrated during this time of year. ["Get your eyes on the monster"!! ] Then Murray says that vs 2 says, "in other words if you really teach the Bible, chapter by chapter and verse by verse, you will be spoken evil of"..... THE BIBLE DOES NOT SAY THAT!! NO WHERE! Never does any verse say that the Bible should be taught chapter by chapter, verse by verse....... Jesus did not teach that way! He did not sit and read the Scriptures and offer commentary. He read it once, then sat down! Jesus lived out examples of the scripture. He showed us how the scriptures fit into our daily lives.

Here is another example, of Murray taking his student's eyes off the true good food, and on to the monster: John 8 starting at Verse 3 we see that teachers of the law, and Pharisees came to test Jesus. Now, in verse 37 JESUS says that these are

descendants of Abraham.....NOT Cain.....NOT Satan! Jesus says they are Abraham's SEED-- "SPERMA" He affirms that in verse 56.....Yet Murray dwells on the verses (42 and 44) that call these men "sons of satan"....Thus stealing the real truth and good food of the message of the text! The message being that when we do the work of satan, by giving ourselves over to unclean thoughts and actions, using deception; then we are "of" satan; just like these Jews. Their spiritual father is satan.

Murray regularly uses this "root word" tactic, to misinterpret the Bible, and to support his heretical teachings. Take for instance the 'key' of his doctrine, the word
"Kenite". Murray teaches that Kenite means "Cain". Kenite actually means "smiths", in the Strong's concordance. The root word of Kenite is the same word as "Cain". From this Murray teaches that the Kenite's are the actual (descendants) son's of Cain, the first son of Eve! [Murray teaches that Cain's father is Satan, thus so are the Kenites]

Ridiculous! First of all, further examination shows that the root word, which also means "Cain"; "Quayin", Strong's # 07014, is only used for "Kenite", in one verse of the old testament, Num.24:22! But first we also must point out, that this root word for Cain is also the same word used for "the tribe from which the father-in-law of Moses was a member"; and more importantly for proper interpretation: a village in Judah! (Joshua 15:57)

Let's look at the "Kenite" verse, Numbers 24:22. To put it in context and to get the proper meaning, one must read the verse prior to verse 22: Verse 21: "And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock."

The word for "Kenite" here is Strong's #07017 Qeyniy {kay-nee'} which was used in the OT 13 times and means "smiths" or the "tribe from which the father in law of Moses was a member"

Verse 22: "Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive."

The word "Kenite" here, is Strong's #07014 Qayin {kah'-yin} Which according to Joshua 15:57, is a village! Thus the two different uses of the word, "Kenite". one is speaking of the tribe, one is speaking of the village! In context, one can see that in verse 21 immediately prior to verse 22, it is speaking of the "dwelling place" of this tribe. Very simple, no hidden "code" to find the "sons of satan", at all! It was translated thus in the NASB:

"And he looked at the Kenite, and took up his discourse and said, Your dwelling place is enduring, And your nest is set in the cliff. Nevertheless Kain will be consumed; How long will Asshur keep you captive?"

NKJV: "Then he looked on the Kenites, and he took up his oracle and said: "Firm is your dwelling place, and your nest is set in the rock; Nevertheless Kain shall be burned. How long until Asshur carries you away captive?"

If one needs to examine root words to discover the hidden, secrete meanings of the scriptures, then why doesn't Mr. Murray look at the root words for all names? Could it be that Murray knows this blows his teachings right out the window?!

Let us apply the same scrutiny to the root words for other Kenite names, in: 1 Chronicles 2:55 which Murray uses to show how these supposed descendants of Cain, (satanic hybrids, according to Murray) became scribes and corrupted the scriptures. Look at the verse a little closer, and you will see that there is absolutely no connection!

"And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, [and]

Suchathites. These [are] the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab."

The rootword for "Tirathites"--08654 Tir`athiy {teer-aw-thee'} Tirathites = "men of the gate" if you read your Bible, Jesus said he is the Gate!

"Shimeathites"=08101 Shim`athiy {shim-aw-thee'} root=08093 Shim`ah {shim-aw'} Means = "fame"

1) a son of Rechab, chief of the Rechabites, in the time of Jehu and Ahab

2) a nephew of David

Nothing about being sons of satan.??? Or even Cain. But "JEHOVAH IS WILLING". AND a nephew of David!!

Take a look at Judges 4:11. If you will read it, it says that Heber IS a Kenite; and his father is Hobab. Look up Hobab. He is the son of Jethro...Moses's father in law. Just like the strong's definition says for the word "Kenite"! This verse does say that Heber "severed" himself from the Kenites. But take your strong's and look up the word used for "severed". It is #06504 --"parad". Then notice that it is the same word used when Lot and Abraham separated, in Gen 13:9-14! Nothing ominous about it! Just that they moved apart. Just like when one moves away from their parents. Nothing to indicate that Heber was only a "Kenite" because he lived in "Kenite country"; as in I am "American" because I live in America. We know that, because after Heber moved, he is still known as a "Kenite". And so was Moses's father in Law! We know that Moses's father in law lived in the land of "Midian".......yet, he is known as a "Kenite". There is nothing in any definitions which says that Kenites are "sons of satan"; No where, never! This is dreamed up by Arnold Murray.

Since Murray likes to go back and examine root words, one should go back and read about what this "Rechabite", Jehonadab, who according to 1 Chron. 2:55, Is a "Kenite", did in 2 Kings 10:23-28. He helped to wipe out Baal worship in Israel! Now why would the Devils' child destroy one of the major ways that God's people stumbled and disobeyed Him? Jesus said a house divided will fall! (Matt.12:26)

Also if one continues to study these Rechabites, who are Kenites, we see that God actually tells the people of Israel to act more like them! (Jeremiah 35:1-16) And he blesses them in verses 18&19: "

"And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you: Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever."

Now, a person whose name is "Jack"....the base, or rootword for that name is John; And John is also the rootword for Jonathan; or vise versa. If you were trying to expain and define names to someone, you would point out these things. This does not indicate that all "Johns" or "Jacks" are related, does it? The WORDS are related, not the people. It is the same with the names in the Bible. How silly to say that people hundreds, perhaps thousands of generations from Cain; called the "Kenites", are related to Cain!

Now, here is one more important mistake of Murray's, when he examines names looking for connections.

The name Enoch:

Gen.4:17)"And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch" [02585]

Gen.5:24)"And Enoch [02585] walked with God: and he [was] not; for God took him."

SAME WORD! One is the direct son of Cain and one is from the line of Seth, but they share the same Strong's number! SAME, not only root word, as is the case with the word "Kenite" and "Cain"...but they are the very same word! Now, to be consistent in Bible interpretation, if one says that "Kenite" from Numbers 22:24 is the descendant of Cain because they share the same Strong's # rootword; Then Enoch who walked with God, must also be a descendant of Cain! Of course he is not. Thus the translation techniques used by Mr. Murray are flawed, and this proves he is no scholar of biblical languages, and his interpretations should not be listened to.

Think about what Arnold Murray says. Really think about it. Jesus Christ himself never named the Kenites as sons of Satan. No one else in all of history has. Why would God have Arnold Murray reveal a "fact" that Jesus Christ did not even reveal? He wouldn't.

In fact, Jesus said, "For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect--if that were possible. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time. " (Mark 13:22-23)

Jesus told us EVERYTHING. Jesus did NOT tell us about Kenites! I repeat, Jesus NEVER named the Kenites as sons of satan! The Bible also says,

"I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; "

(Isa.45:19)

Jesus used parables to try and help us understand what he meant. He used examples from the lives of those he was speaking to, so that they could perhaps grasp the meaning of the Kingdom of Heaven. He was NOT trying to keep any information from us, and waiting for teachers like Murray to explain to us. No. Jesus wanted us to understand. He said that he did not want that "any should perish"! But there are those, such as Shepherd's Chapel, who still refuse to see the simplicity of the Gospel, and do not understand the message of the Bible. They harden their hearts against the message of Christ.

Murray teaches that he volunteered to come to earth, because he "stood with Christ" during satan's rebellion; in the mythical, "first earth age". That he, himself, does not have freewill, and does not need salvation; and that he has been to the "third heaven". If this were true, one would think, like Isaiah and Elijah, that everything he said would be true, and every prediction would come true. Yet, he is wrong! Much of what he teaches is contrary to what the Bible says. The Bible says that we "do not battle against flesh and blood"..... yet Murray insists that our battle is with "Kenites" who are flesh and blood!

Murray even contradicts himself!

In another example, Murray teaches that "hybrids cannot reproduce", but then he also teaches that Cain was a "hybrid" =part satan and part human; so, then how could Cain have a lineage, called "KENITES"?!!

Arnold Murray has made false predictions, and speaks with a double meaning to his words, as is the case when Murray states: "Anyone saying that I use the word (Kenite) to describe Judah is not telling the truth; it would be a lie, because I have never said this."---- No, he teaches that the "Kenites" have infiltrated the tribe of "Judah"; from which we get the word, "Jews".....this a deception! A "clinton speak".......double talk! Just as clinton said he wasn't lying because he held a different meaning to the word, "IS", than most of us do, so does Murray have a different meaning to the word "JEW".

When he says that he does not use the word "Kenite" to describe the Jews, he is playing word games! Take for example his tape #412, "Demons", when speaking of Kenites, Murray states:

"Their sons don't cast out devils - they love them . . . I'm saying it because it's a fact. They love them. It works in their favor - works to their advantage. Why do they steep themselves in pornography? Why do they steep themselves in carnality? Why do you think their own Talmud is the filthiest piece of literature ever written because they're at home with it. They love it. It's their cup of tea. Its Satan's cup of tea."

Who follows the Talmud? Jewish people, of course! Murray said that those who follow the Talmud---which are Jews--- love devils, pornography and are carnal! Clear. Very clear. Anti semitic. Jew hating! He insists that it is not anti-semitic, because he says that these people are not "real" Jews, but pretenders. So, he is not a jew hater, because he loves the "real" Jews....He says that the "our brother Judah gets a bad rap because of the Kenites" .

I ask, what do the Kenites do, which gives the Jews a "bad rap"?!

So, you see, there are "bad" Jews, and "good" Jews! Some are the sons of satan, some are not, according to Shepherd's Chapel!

This is a horrible, and yes, dangerous teaching. It is dangerous to believe that other human beings are not human at all! This leads one to justify hating and killing them. That is completely opposite of everything Jesus taught. The Bible says that God so loved the WHOLE world, that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us all. God does not hope that any should perish, but that all should have everlasting life! (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 2 Peter 3:9)

Murray says he is not racist. He says it is a lie. Yet, as anyone except Shepherds Chapel and other Identity followers, can see, that the Kenite teaching and the above quote about the followers of the Talmud are very, very racist! But, it doesn't stop there! See what you think, when you hear what the man said on his show:

Stereotypical oriental racist, comment! Insulting and hurtful to asian people! Remember, the Bible calls us to a higher standard than the world:

"You may have the faith to believe that there is nothing wrong with what you are doing, but keep it between yourself and God. Blessed are those who do not condemn themselves by doing something they know is all right." Rom.14:22

"That is the plan I follow, too. I try to please everyone in everything I do. I don't just do what I like or what is best for me, but what is best for them so they may be saved." 1 Cor.10:33

Recently, in January 2003, some students of Shepherds Chapel have found the story of the wonderful, faithful Chinese Christian, "Watchman Nee".[click on his name to read about this servant of Jesus Christ, who had victory in Jesus while enduring tribulation in prison for 30 years]

These students are reading his book, and seeing the truth about how a Christian behaves! Of course this truth conflicts with many Shepherds Chapel teachings, and the demeanor of the pastor and students. Some are seeing that perhaps the final authority on Christianity, is not Arnold Murray! Murray doesn't seem to like that! So, this is what Murray had to say about it. HIs racism shows through in this unguarded moment during his broadcast of 1.13.2003:

"Ya, Know......uhmmmmm....It's an amazing thing, we got some GRUNTS running around now, talking about authority...

and it's taken from a Chinese worker's manifest; Probably from the Little Red Book, if it's all known! ...( he chuckles)...

and their tryin' to git authority out of it!

I mean, ...I mean, ..Ya know, people git all messed up when they wanna feel important, I guess! You can be so misled, so easy by traditions of men...make sure you don't. Okay?

It is sooooooooooo good to be wiser than the serpent. Hey, if your not, guess what?...Your easy prey for 'im! He hypnotises and moves in ooooone little slippery thing at a time! There is a .....there is a prime....the word: "ops", from his method of hypnosis and taking a victim with "anthropos"....man! Interesting.....be wiser than the serpent......"

So, he is saying that these students who are reading the works of Watchman Nee, are going to get hypnotised and become victims of satan! If he isn't saying that, I want to know what he is saying! Watchman Nee loved Jesus Christ, and stood with Him to death. At the website posted above, you can read every word that Watchman Nee ever wrote. It is free to anyone who wants it. Every word. Every book that he has written can be downloaded and read and distributed freely! Watchman didn't have anything to hide. And he did not try to. He wanted the world to know about Jesus!

How grave and horrible for Murray to smear this man who sits with Jesus right now! How awful that Murray calls this victim of communism a communist, merely because he is Chinese! But, then Jesus warned us that if we followed him, false teachers would call us "satan", just as they did Him! I have had many Shepherds Chapel students call me by that name, as well.

But, besides the smear on the character of a man he does not know, Murray used some crafty verbal manipulation took place with that comment. He very carefully scares the student into thinking that if they read anything but what he has endorsed, then satan will hypnotise them and take them as a victim! This is a classic cult control tactic! Right there on the air, for all to see!

Be very careful and check out all things. Arnold Murray even tells his listeners to do so! He says not to trust him or any man, but check them out. I have done it, you should too.

Better than that, trust the Holy Spirit to be your Bible interpreter! Arnold Murray was not crucified for you; and was not raised from the dead! Jesus Christ was. "God alone made it possible for you to be in Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made Christ to be wisdom itself. He is the one who made us acceptable to God. He made us pure and holy, and he gave himself to purchase our freedom. As the Scriptures say,

"The person who wishes to boast should boast only of what the Lord has done." (1 Cor.1:30-31)

When a Shepherd's Chapel student talks, he boasts of the knowledge of his teacher; or of his own Bible studies. He claims that he is so much more "Biblically literate" than everyone else. This is wrong.

"So don't take pride in following a particular leader. Everything belongs to you: Paul and Apollos and Peter; the whole world and life and death; the present and the future. Everything belongs to you, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God." 1 Cor.3:21-23

Here are a few of the common phrases, and arguments used by Shepherd's Chapel students, and my response to them

"Please explain these verses.

Gen 9:18 18-- "And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan." Gen 9:22 22 --"And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without." Gen 9:24-25 24--"And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren."

Here is what uncovering means:

Leviticus 20:11-" And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Leviticus 18:8 -"The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness."

Murray says that Ham had sex with Noah's wife, because to "UNCOVER your father's nakedness", is to have sex with his wife. Then Murray says to check out the verses in Leviticus which accurately show that to be true! Pretty sneaky! Please notice the play on words, and the deception! YES, to uncover your father's nakedness" DOES mean to have sex with your father's wife.

The problem lies in that Ham DID NOT UN-COVER his father's nakedness!! Nope. Check it out. Read Gen. 9:21 It says:

"Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and BECAME uncovered in his tent".....

NO Ham, anywhere around! Noah "became uncovered" all on his own! No one "uncovered his nakedness". Ham came in and "saw" the nakedness of his father, according to the next verse! He did not UNCOVER anything!

Ham dishonored his father. Clear in scripture, especially when we see that the brothers put a blanket over their shoulders so that they would not also see their father's nakedness! Why would they walk in backwards, if Ham's sin was more than seeing his father naked, and making fun of him?

It is dishonorable to see other people's nakedness and to make jest of it, like Ham did. See Exodus 20:26--- where we see that God did not want others to "see the nakedness" of the priests either! This dishonored the priests, diminishing them in the eyes of the people, and allowing them to dismiss the Words of God that were spoken through these God given messengers. Ham tried to diminish his father's authority, by making fun of Noah to his brothers. He did not sleep with his father's wife. Check it out!

Also, why in the world, wouldn't the Bible speak clearly about Ham sleeping with his father's wife? It clearly states all kinds of horrible deeds. And clearly told us about Reuban sleeping with one of Jacob's concubines in Genesis 35:22.

"What part did Adam and Eve cover with a fig leaf...?? Did they wipe red apple juice off their mouths? OR did they cover or hide the parts they sinned with.???

As far as Adam and Eve covering themselves before meeting the Lord. Read this verse:

'There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas ... and Nathanael ... and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. ... They went forth [to go fishing] ... and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore.... Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked), and did cast himself into the sea. (John 21: 2-7)

Perhaps God provided us with Peter's incident as a commentary of sorts on what was going on in the minds of Adam and Eve in Genesis 3. One usually dis-robes when one goes swimming! However, in Peter's case, he put his robe on prior to diving into the water! He covered himself, not because of some sexual perversion on his part, but rather because he was going into the presence of Jesus his Lord and God! In our mortal sinful state it is indecent for anyone (Adam and Eve included) to be unclothed - either physically or spiritually - in the presence of our Holy God.

Also, if you have children, you know that when they are babies they love to run around naked! But along about the time of the age of 5--when their wisdom increases--they do not want their mommies to bathe them or see them naked anymore! And when they are teen! Forget it! Adam and Eve were babies, and then all of a sudden gained knowledge. Only a carnal, dirty mind would think otherwise.

"So, why isn't Cain in Adam's genealogy?"

Cain IS in Adam's genealogy! He is in the Bible as the first Son of Adam and Eve. He is even in Strong's concordance as such, isn't he?! ..Read the Bible. Try Genesis 5:4:

"After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters."

Why aren't those sons and daughters of Adam in named in "Adam's genealogy"? Are they also sons and daughters of satan? Of course not. And neither is Cain. God chose to tell the story of the line of Seth. Because the Bible is about Jesus Christ. The whole thing...it all leads to Jesus! This is the line that the LORD Jesus came from, and that is why God had Moses write it down. This is why no other children of Adam have their genealogies in the Bible. No hidden message. Just the facts.

This is such a silly question, served up as "proof" that Cain is the son of satan. Think about what you are saying when you teach this lie about the "serpent seed". By teaching it, Murray really rewrites what the Bible really says, to what he THINKS it says! The Bible says that God put enmity between satan's "seed" and EVE'S SEED. If the Bible is speaking of true physical "seed", as Murray says it is, then Cain and Abel were both Eve's "SEED"! So, the logical conclusion of Murray's teaching, is that God put enmity between Adam's "seed" and satan's "seed"...when that IS NOT what the BIBLE says! That is a subtle twisting of the scripture, which changes the meaning.

The only "seed" that satan has is deception, and lies. This serpent seed doctrine is one of those deceptions and a lie.

"Do you know that God's name isn't anywhere in the book of Esther? Except as an accrostic? That is for the student with eyes to see! It is God telling the student that even though this book is a Kenite lie, He will use it. God allowed the book to be put there, so that we can see how the Kenite works...'those who say they are Jews, but are not' " This is the only book in the Bible not quoted in the New Testament. This proves it is Kenite.

Sadly, you are the one who has been tricked by a satanic lie! Oh how I grieve for those who think themselves wise, because they have fallen for a false teaching!

Listen, and check this out. God's name is not mentioned in the book of Song of Solomon either! Not even as an accrostic! Song of Solomon, Obadiah and Nahum are not quoted in the New Testament either! These are worthless proofs...mere slight of hand tricks, to get you to accept the idea that Satan was able yet again, to muddy up God's plans! How sad. Please, Please stop listening to fools, and shut down all voices except Gods. Just read your Bible. New Testament first. God will answer all your questions, if you give him a chance.

I have asked WHERE in the Bible it says to teach "Chapter by Chapter, verse by verse"? This is the response I get:

Isaiah 28:13 "But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken."

Or in modern english, so that we can understand, the verse reads:

So then, the word of the Lord to them will become:

Do and do, do and do,

rule on rule, rule on rule;

a little here, a little there-

so that they will go and fall backward,

be injured and snared and captured.

If one would only read the entire chapter to get the context, instead of pulling out one verse, it would become clear that this is God imitating the mockery of the drunken priests, in verses 7 and 10! Isaiah had admonished the drunken priests and prophets, and they had in return, mocked his corrective advice! The oft quoted "precept upon precept; line upon line; line upon line; here a litte, there a little", which Shepherd's Chapel says is a call to study chapter by chapter, verse by verse...is actually translierated in Hebrew monosyllables, which are: "Sav lasav, sav lasav, Kav lakav, kav lakav, Zer'er sham, zer'er sham" These imitations are of a young child's babbling, and these drunken priests likened it to Isaiah's preaching! It is mocking from drunken priests, not a call to study, like Arnold Murray says he does! Check it out.

But, Murray rarely teaches exclusively chapter by chapter, verse by verse, anyway! Mr. Murray, just like other preachers, uses other verses in the Bible to better illustrate the chapter he is teaching on. Murray, just like other preachers, also uses examples from life, and history to clarify the meaning of his chosen passage. Murray,
just like other preachers, also preaches on certain subjects, (such as his topic of "The wrath of God"; or "Vengence") and uses numerous Bible passages, which are
NOT chapter by chapter, verse by verse; to make his point!

I actually took a stop clock to his broadcast of Jan. 23, 2003, to see how much of his
59 minute broadcast was actually Bible....and how much was Murray's idea of what the Bible said, or his opinion of various subjects. He rarely confines his comments to the Bible passage he reads! There was 7:39 Minutes of actual Bible reading, amounting to 32 verses, in 4 different books of the Bible! Certainly NOT 'Chapter by chapter, verse by verse"! And hardly "unique"! Most certainly just like other preachers, reading a few verses in one chapter, a few in another and so on and so on!

What I have heard Murray do, which is NOT like other preachers, is to interject extra-biblical writings, actually, Doctrines and TRADTIONS of men....myths and legends; into a Bible passage, as if it were a fact written in the Bible! Take this reading of Isa. 53; used in the study of Acts, in which Murray interjects an idea from the TRADITIONs OF GLASTONBURY:

"Verse 9, Isaiah chapter 53; And it reads: "And he made his grave with the wicked; I mean there were two malfactors, ah, crucified on each side, and with the rich in his death, he was buried in Joseph of Arimathea, Mary's ah, Uncle's, ah tomb. A rich mans tomb. The tin man they called him...."

There is no break, it all roles off his tongue like it is FACT! As if the "Traditions of Glastonbury" is a factual part of scripture! Incredible! And that, my friend, is adding to the scriptures......

Who is "cornball and fake"?

Do you see what looks like a man's face? Well, this is the man, according to Murray, that pushed the clouds around for him, into the shape of numbers, telling Murray which "seal" from the book of Revelation was broken! This is Elijah, according to Murray.
