JUDE 4-16 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in thoseings they corrupt themselves. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. 17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

2 PETER 2:1-22 1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) 9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11 Whereas angels, (Micheal) which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; (here we can add vs 15+16:Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.)
13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; (vs 17 could be added here: These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.)
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet. 17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

For the definition of verses in Jude, it is prudent to use the parallel verses in 2 Peter which speak of the exact same thing. Using much of the same terminology. It is obvious that the brother of Jesus, (Jude) and Peter, the 'one who loved Him' are speaking of the same thing. Probably speaking of the same false teachers. Instead of looking for the meaning of "stars" and the like, look for the meaning of "these" in verse 8 and 10 ....and find out who and what the passage is speaking of! Lets look and compare the two passages that speak about false teachers. |

If you are reading the passage as if verse 7 of Jude, is a continuation of verse 6, since there is no change in the subject/object, you also must think that the rest of the verses pertain to the fallen angels as well. The 'filthy dreamers' spoken about in verse 8, you say are fallen angels and these fallen angels 'defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities'....what "dignities"? Well verse 9 gives us an example in Micheal and satan; saying that Micheal did not speak evil to satan. And the parallel verse in 2 Peter also clearly shows this. So "dignities" must be satan, and perhaps other unseen beings, right?
Okay. Think about it for a minute or two. Verse 10 says that "they" (the subject of the verses) "speak evil of things that 'they know not'." Fallen Angels would know satan and other unseen beings, wouldn't they?
Then verse 12 says that the subjects of this passage are at "feasts of charity" where they feast without fear. How is that possible, when they are in chains, in darkness until judgement, as is clearly stated in verse 6? Please reexamine your thought processes.
You have to come to this passage with a pre-suppostion about the Kenites and the "Sons of God" being angels, to read the passage in Jude as a description of fallen Angels.
I do not read it that way, because the Bible teaches that Angels do not have bodies, and they are not the "Sons of God". So, with that background I read the verse very clearly to mean that these are men, (vs 4) who have gotten into the church and who turn Gods grace found in the Gospel, into "lasciviousness".....just like it says. Verse 21 in 2 Peter also bears witness to that fact. These are men like David Koresh, who "Married" young children, all in the name of Jesus. Or Joseph Smith, who took hundreds of women..many who were already married, and "married" them, all in the name of Jesus. Or pastors of churches who say that homosexuality is okay, because Jesus and Paul were "obviously" gay! Or TV preachers who turn the gospel into a great money maker and become rich off of little old ladies who go without food so that they can send Benny Hinn some money, and he can have a $4,000 wrist watch and Rolls Royce! That is who these passages are warning us against.
One more point on this chapter. The examples of evil conduct, always contain the final judgment. We are givean example from history.....then the judgment. A complete thought, and complete point. .
Verse 4 starts out talking about these evil men, then verse 5 reminds us of the Israelites that came out of Egypt.....then tells of their judgement: "afterward destroyed them that believed not"
Verse 6 reminds us of the fallen angels.....then tells of their judgement: "Reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgement of the great day."
Verse 7 reminds us of Sodom and Gomorrha....then tells of their judgement: "suffering the vengence of eternal fire"
Example--Judgement
Each verse gives us a complete thought, the subject of the verse is completed in the judgement .....all used as an example of what will happen to the men in verse 4!
If verses 5,6, and 7 are not examples of the coming judgment on the men introduced in verse 4, then verse 5 is woefully out of place!
And so is the mention of the men in verse 4!
Those would not fit the context of the passage.
But if one correctly reads the context in being the exposure of false teachers and how they are similar to other great apostates in history...........it makes perfect sense, and the verse fit the context of the passage.
But, if you are trying to find sexual angels, or evidence to prove your favorite teacher or a favorite pseudo-scripture book is telling the truth....you will.
You can believe what is actually written, or you can believe ideas that others put into your head to confuse the message of Jesus Christ! You see, that is the whole reason for the Bible..it is to point us to Jesus Christ. If your thoughts and ideas do not do that....they are wrong. They are the whisperings of demons.
