Resurrection
How you answer that question will determine where you spend eternity. It is that vital!

Indeed, the resurrection of Jesus Christ in the flesh, is of such importance to the Christian faith that the New Testament insists that no one can be saved without believing it!

"For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Rom.10:9)
"Now, let me remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before".........."And it is this Good News that saves you if you firmly believe it......unless of course you believed something that was never true in the first place. I Passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me....that Christ died for your sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, as the Scriptures said." (1Cor.15:1-4)

For without the bodily resurrection of Christ, you may as well tear up your Bible, fire your preacher, and burn down your church, because Christianity is false and there is no hope for salvation and immortality!

As Paul told the Corinthians, in his first letter to them, "If Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless, and you are still under condemnation for your sins. In that case, all who have died believing in Christ have perished! And if we have hope in Christ only for this life, we are the most miserable people in the world." (15:17-19)

The physical resurrection of Christ is the bedrock of our faith. Without it,  Christianity crumbles. This is precisely  why the physical resurrection of Christ is constantly attacked!

Christians need to be clear on this point. Our Lord not only lived in a flesh body; he not only suffered and died in a flesh body; but that same flesh body was raised from the dead and He Lives today!!

It was not the death of Jesus, as our Passover lamb, that saved us; it is his life! Our symbol of victory is an empty cross! The fact that Jesus triumphed over death, and indeed lived on......that is what saves us! If he were a mere human sacrifice for the sins of man, then, just like the animal sacrifices in the Old Testament; it would need to be done again. No, after Christ paid the price of sin, he conquered the penalty......death no longer has a hold on us!! It is finished! This body will live again, just as Christ's body lives on!

Jesus Christ did indeed have victory over death! This very real fact is what differentiates Christianity from all other world religions. And it is this fact that proves that Jesus was the son of God;

"And declared to be the Son  of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead." (Rom.1:4)

It is this fact that changed a handful of cowardly, frightened disciples, who denied that they even knew their leader (Matt. 26:56;70;72;74),  when he was only arrested; into roaring lions proclaiming the faith, and willing to be put to torture and death for it!

These people had seen many miracles in the previous 3 years; water into wine; bread and fish multiplied; demons cast out; sickness and deformities healed and storms calmed. Peter even walked on the water! But, they still did not hold that faith 5 minutes, when they were threatened with arrest and death! They witnessed their leader beaten and killed. They knew that this would also be their fate, if they continuted to talk about Jesus. They knew they would not gain riches and fame for perpetuating this belief in Christ. They knew that all they faced was torture and death! And it is clear, by the gospel accounts, that these men were not brave enough to do that! They RAN!

What could have changed these wimpering, swearing, cowards, into lions of the Faith?
They witnessed Christ living, that is what!
They saw the one that they had watched die an agonising death, risen from that death! This is what gave them the courage to face torture and death. They knew for sure that death was not permanent! They knew that as he lived, they would live also!  The fact that Jesus conquered death, and said that anyone who believes in Him will too, emboldened Peter to declare in Jerusalem, 50 days after the Resurrection:

"People of Israel, Listen! God publicly endorsed Jesus of Nazareth by doing wonderful miracles, wonders, and signs through him, as you well know. But you followed God's prearranged plan. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to the cross and murdered him. However, God released him from the horrors of death and raised him
back to life again
, for death could not keep him in its grip!"(Acts 2:22-25)

"After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken." (Jn2:22)

Arnold Murray and Shepherd's Chapel teach that the body that Jesus was raised in, was a "spirit body".  The Bible doesn't say that. The Bible says we will have 'SPIRITUAL' bodies, not a 'spirit body'. Murray teaches that the simple miracle of Jesus being raised immortal in the same physical body in which he died, didn't happen! That Christ instead was immediately transformed into a non-physical body...Jesus further had to miraculously be able to assume a physical body on different occasions by which he could convince the apostles that he was "alive".  If Christ only rose in a spirit body, that would make the raising of Lazarus more miraculous than Christ rising from the dead, wouldn't it?!
But, doesn't the Bible does say that 'flesh and blood will not inherit the kingdom of heaven'? And further in 1 Cor.15, Paul himself says that we will have "Spirit Bodies", doesn't he?
No. Paul says we will have "Spiritual" Bodies. Like the Bible is a "Spiritual" book!

What is wrong with the "spirit body" hypothesis is that it uses human logic to explain a godly miracle! There is no real difference between a "spirit body" resurrection and no resurrection at all! An immaterial body has no verifiable connection with a material body.

The old Testament witnesses to the fact of a fleshly resurrection. Job said:
"I know that my Redeemer lives and that in the end He will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God"
(Job 19:25-26)

Daniel said: "Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake:some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt" (Dan.12:2)

"After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight" (Hos.6:2)

"Your dead shall live: Together with my dead body they shall arise. "Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead." (Isa.26:19)

The only objective way the world could know that Christ rose was if He rose in the same material body in which He died.  Murray's, (and JW's) hypothesis actually denies and explains away the biggest miracle of all, and in the process turns Jesus into a deceiver! Think about it, and please investigate it.

Jesus told his disciples both before and after his resurrection that he would be raised in the same body. He even left the empty tomb and grave clothes as evidence.

So, if Jesus was not raised immortal in the same body that died, it is all deception and he is lying! The whole point of the empty grave clothes (Jn 20:6-7) was to show that the body that died was the one that had risen.

Speaking of his resurrection, Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple (his physical body) and I will raise it (his physical body) again in three days" (Jn2:19) This is a lie, if he in fact transmuted his soul into a different "spirit Body". The body that was raised, would not have been the one that was "destroyed"!

Jesus gave us the example of Jonah to describe his forthcoming resurrection:

"A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah." Jesus then left them and went away." (Matt.16:4)

Did Jonah come out of the fish as a spirit ? Did Jonah come out with a spirit body? No, he came out of the fish---ALIVE! The same Jonah that went in, is the same Jonah who came out. The same Jesus that went into the tomb, is the same... Jesus who came out! But, he is now imperishable!

A number of times Jesus predicted both His death and His resurrection:

"And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again." (Mark 8:31)

"For He taught His disciples and said to them, "The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And after He is killed, He will rise the third day." (Mark 9:31)

"Now they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going before them; and they were amazed. And as they followed they were afraid. Then He took the twelve aside again and began to tell them the things that would happen to Him: "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles; and they will mock Him, and scourge Him and spit on Him, and Kill Him. And the third day He will rise again."
(Mark 10:32-34)

"From that time Jesus began to show His diciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day." (Matt.16:21)

"As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, "Don't tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead."' (Matt 17:9)

But, to his disciples this was such a fantastic story that they did not even believe him! Peter tells him not to say it! (Matt.16:22)  Jesus even told them to meet him in Galilee after he rises.:

"But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee." (Matt.26:32)

"But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee." (Mark 14:28)

But, did they make their way there? No! Even after all they had seen him do, even after seeing other people brought back to life....they did not believe that this could REALLY
happen! After seeing the abuse that Jesus's body suffered, they could not concieve that it could be repaired and brought back to life! It was too fantastic a story to accept. Being raised in a "spirit body" would not be fantastic to those who obviously believed in the spirit life...in the spiritual realm.

Furthermore, after his resurrection Jesus presented his crucifixion wounds to his disciples as evidence that he had indeed risen in the same body in which he was crucified. (Jn 20:27) It would have been nothing short of deception to offer his crucifixion wounds as evidence that he had really risen, unless it was in the same body that had been crucified!  If Jesus had risen in a spiritual form, what happened to the flesh? There is no reason the physical body could not remain in the tomb. After all, God is capable of convincing people of his presence and reality without a bodily form!

Further still, Jesus ate in the presence of his disciples, to show that he was not immaterial:

"And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, "Do you have anything here to eat?" They gave him a piece of broiled fish,
and he took it and ate it in their presence." (Luke 24:41-43)

Jesus Himself said he had flesh,  and bones, to His disciples in one of His post-resurrection appearances:

"Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have" (Luke 24:39).

Who will you believe, Jesus or Arnold Murray?

John says in 2 John 7: "For many deceivers are entered in to the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ IS COME in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist."
The phrase, "is come", ( erchomenon en sarki) is in the present tense. Which means he is now, and is coming to earth again....IN THE FLESH!
From this it is clear that, even after the Resurrection when John wrote, he insisted that Jesus was still continuing in the flesh! And if you don't believe that, you are a deceiver and an ANTICHRIST!  Against Christ. Not Christian.

Peter quoted David, and declared that "nor did His flesh see corruption" (Acts 2:30-31; Ps 16).

But, what about that passage in 1 Cor.15:50, that says that flesh and blood would not inherit the Kingdom of God? Well, Jesus answered this question, when he told us that the Kingdom of God in IN US, when we believe in Him!

"nor will people say, `Here it is,' or `There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:20-22)

What Paul was talking about, was that we could not enter into the kingdom of God the way we are! We must change. And Jesus Christ said that HE is the "resurrection and the life". Only He can change us.

And what about the rest of the verses in 1 Cor.15 that say that we will have "spirit bodies"?  The apostle Paul not only wants us to know that our bodies will be transformed like Jesus' glorified body, but that the seeds of what we will become are in the bodies that we now possess.  He  wants us to know that our natural body will raised perfected. They will no longer be perishable. This does not mean that our bodies will be immaterial. No, he is describing a body that is supernaturally directed by the power of God. In those passages, "natural" man does not mean "physical man"; it describes a man who is dominated by his human nature.  Likewise, "spiritual man" does not mean "nonphysical man", but rather describes a man who is dominated by the supernatural power of the Spirit.  Our spirtual bodies will be dominated by the Holy Spirit, rather than dominated by our sinful nature.

Paul describes the resurrected body as a "spiritual body" in the same sense that we describe the Bible as a "spiritual book"!

In brief, if Jesus wasn't resurrected in the same physical body, then God lost in His purpose to create a physical world, because the physical world was destroyed and never restored. God also lost in salvation because Jesus' physical body died but was never brought back to life. As well, Christ lied because He
looked at His disciples in Luke 24:39 and said, "See my hands and my feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." Furthermore, there's no hope that you'll see your loved ones in heaven (1 Thess.4:13-18).

To summarize, if Jesus wasn't raised in a physical body,
then God failed, Christ lied, and there's no hope beyond the grave.

"Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words." (1 Thess.4:13-18)
"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body." (Phil.3:20-21)

The "elementary" teachings, the foundations, of the Christian faith are: "repentace, faith, baptism, recieving the Holy Spirit, The Resurrection, and Eternal judgment":

"Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment." (Heb 6:1-2)

If one is not clear on these foundations, or if your faith is based on other foundations, such as Kenites, a first earth age, and satan's plans....you are NOT a Christian! You need further instruction on the foundations of the Christian faith to be able to use that name. You are NOT Israel, YOU are not Christian! You have ETERNAL punishment to look forward to! You do the work of Satan and the Anti-Christ! The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is THE most IMPORTANT day in Christianity! Only Satan would want to smear this day....want to claim credit for the visual reminders of this ultimate miracle by Jesus Christ!

The Bible gives us many, many witnesses for the Bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and none for Kenites! What will you believe, the Bible or Arnold Murray?

Here are some more scriptures on resurrection, and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ:

"You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this." (Acts 3:15)

"then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed." (Acts 4:10)

"The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead--whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree." (Acts 5:30)

"But God raised him from the dead," (Acts 13:30)

"The fact that God raised him from the dead, never to decay, is stated in these words: "`I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.'" (Acts 32-34)

"But the one whom God raised from the dead did not see decay." (Acts 13:37)

"but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead." (Rom 4:24)

"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." (Rom 6:4)

"For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him." (Rom 6:9)

"So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God." (Rom 7:4)

"And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you." (Rom 8:11)

"By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also." (1 Cor 6:14)

"But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?" (1Cor.15:12)

"But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep." (1 Cor15:20)

"because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence." (2 Cor4:14)

"Paul, an apostle--sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead--" (Gal 1:1-2)

  "which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms," (Eph 1:20)

"having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead." (Col 2:12)

"and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead--Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath."
(1 Thess 1:10)

"Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God." (1 Pet1:21)

All of our Easter Celebration centers around Christ, and serves to remind us of his sacrifice for us, and his Resurrection....looking forward to our own resurrection!

Our celebrations, begin on Ash Wednesday, where just like David of the Bible, we put ashes on our heads in grief for our sins; and also for the sins of our nation. We follow a day time fast, for those 40 days, in rememberance of Christ's 40 days fast in the desert. It is a time of prayer, of seeking God's will in our lives.

During Holy Week, we celebrate from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. 7 days of "unleavened Bread"--Christ: who is the Bread of Life. We remember what our LORD went through 2000 years ago.....what he endured, for our sins. We reflect on our lives, and ask God to make us more like Him, that we would be able to endure humiliation and discomfort in an effort to see our sinful brothers saved.

Thursday we read the scripture, and recreate washing each other's feet....to humble ourselves, as Christ humbled himself. He had all the rights of God, yet he put them aside for us! We try to put our "rights" and comforts aside, for the betterment of our brothers in Christ; and those who have yet to come to Christ. We read our Bibles, pray, and participate in a passover Sedar with other members of the Body of Christ. Friday is a solemn day when we read Isaiah 53; and Psalm 22.

Easter is the central feast whose celebration is part of being a member of Christ's community; in observing it Christians are being faithful to Jesus' command to keep his memorial feast. We attend church, and worship our God, and share communion with our brothers in Christ.

On Easter Sunday we celebrate at sunrise, as we remember the women going to the tomb, to find it empty! The Son rose on Sunday morning! It is a new day; a new life, in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!

The children wake up to a surprize....just as the women at the tomb were surprized!....we have colorful baskets to remind us of the baskets of embalming spices the women brought to the tomb, but did not need! They expected death, but found LIFE! They expected bitterness and grief......they found sweet joy! Likewise, our children go to bed with empty baskets.....just as Christ's followers felt their lives were empty without him--there was no more hope, to them. But, just as the disciples discovered the sweet truth that Jesus was alive; the children awaken to baskets full of sweets! Because our living Lord is sweet! And our lives become full, since Jesus is alive! Our hope is renewed!

Our children hunt for eggs, (NOT that an "easter bunny" brought!---I agree this is insulting) just as the women and Peter and John hunted for Christ! But, of course he had been changed! He no longer was there! They hunt for the "Trinity".... represented by the egg....lthe fullness of God....just as Jewish children searched for the "AFIKOMEN", in the passover Sedar!

We dress in new colorful clothing; casting off our clothes of sorrow....our funeral clothes. We dress for the wedding feast of the Lamb! Our hope and our joy is in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ! His resurrection changes us into Children of God, partakers of life. We are brand new, in Christ!

"Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs, And the earth shall cast out the dead." Isa.26:19
~~~~
Shepherd's Chapel teaches, that one should not celebrate the "traditions" of Easter.....and the "tradition" of celebrating passover when orthodox Jews celebrate it. They do not celebrate the Resurrected Jesus....but focus on his death.
Compare. Investigate the two celebrations. Do you think SC's "passover" with it's seminars on "vengence"; "fight or flight"; "wrath of God" and Murray's interpretations of the Book of Revelation....honors the suffering, sacrifice, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ? Does it focus on the hope and joy that we have in our new lives in Jesus Christ? Was it better to hold his services in an entertainment Hotel, than a Church?
Sure, some people don't reverance Jesus Christ during Easter. They make it all about Easter bunnies and spring. They don't reverance Jesus during Christmas either! The Christmas tree, lights, and wreaths don't mean to them, what they mean to me. That does not mean that I should abandon my Christmas celebration! I turn these celebrations into an opportunity to witness to these unsaved friends. I tell them what the objects mean to me, it is a chance to share the hope of Resurrection with those around me!
In my opinion, Shepherd's Chapel does not reverance Jesus Christ during their "passover" at all! The whole mission of SC seems to be to focus on Satan plans, and God's punishment. With almost gleeful anticipation of God's punishment on the world! The sad part is, that they will be a part of that punishment, because they do not believe in the real Jesus, and deny his Resurrection.
"Easter" celebrates the RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ. It is the resurrection after all, that proved that Jesus was indeed God, in the flesh.
It was a true miracle, that he could raise HIMSELF from the dead! He had already raised Lazarus, which was unbelievable......but here he was, dead.....and he was able to raise himself back to life!! Only God could do that! His flesh did not see decay, but the spark of life, revived the cells of his body, and he lived anew!
God used many visual examples, and rituals to remind his people of the miracles that he performed on their behalf. And that is what the celebration of Easter is suppose to be, in the life of a Christian. It is hoped that our celebration would encourage non-Christians, new Christians, and children to ask us about The Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Even Moses recognized the unique opportunity for this kind of "evangelism," saying, "Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations. Ask your father and he will show you; your elders and they will tell you" (Deut. 32:7; see also Ex. 12:26-27; 13:8, 14; Deut. 6:20-25; Joshua 4:6, 21; Ps. 78:2-4).
Don't understand how coloring Easter Eggs fit in with the Resurrection of Jesus Christ?
Easter is an English corruption from the proto-Germanic root word meaning "to rise." (We see this in the contemporary German cognate "öst-" and the English cognate "east," the direction from which the sun rises in the morning.) It refers not only to Christ rising from the dead, but also to his ascension to heaven and to our future rising with him at his Second Coming for final judgment. Jerusalem is also in the East. Jesus rose to life, as the sun rose, in Jerusalem. That day, the Son rose in the EAST!
Although the egg is a common pagan sign of fertility and good luck; in Christianity, the egg is often used as an analogy for the Trinity-- (three parts of different composition, yet one egg) just as the Shammrock is likewise used (three petals, yet one leaf) and a tradition of St. Patrick's day. Some will celebrate the tradition of St. Patrick's day; which celebrates the life of a MAN; a "saint"; and embrace the shamrock, yet still mock the Easter Egg and Easter; which celebrates the Resurrection, the NEW life of Jesus Christ! Life from death. That makes no sense at all, and shows were their hearts really are.
The egg also signifies the resurrection life promised us by Christ's resurrection (1 Cor. 15:37-38). God uses the composition of what is in the egg, and changes it to make a new creature; the egg is no more, it becomes something new! This is our promise from God as well. WE will not die, but become something new! Just as Christ did. Just as Christ's body was changed at Resurrection...God used the components of Christ's earthly body, and made it a New! He is the first of a new type of Man! He is the second Adam, the Bible says!(NOT THE THIRD, BTW!)
We color the eggs to signify the beautiful colors of the butterfly...which is another symbol of the resurrection! Just as the caterpillar "dies," is "buried" in his cocoon, and then emerges in a "new body" somehow made from the old body and with "new life," so Jesus died, was buried, and was resurrected and we who belong to Him will be also Rom. 8:11.
The colors could also represent the colors of the rainbow, God's Promise! Now God promises to save us, through his Son! We change a plain ugly egg and make it beautiful! Just as God take us, ugly sinners, and changes our ugly sinning hearts into beautiful loving hearts! There are many colors, just as there are many parts to the body of Christ; many colors in the Kingdom! "Red, Yellow, Black and White, we are all precious in his sight"...to quote the children's song!
Christians use hiding-and-finding the eggs as a teaching tool to children that we have been "hidden" from God's loving presence by our sin, but we are "found" by Christ, who forgives us, loves us, and treasures us (Luke 15:4-7). It can also signify the diligence with which we are to seek the beautiful new life found in the kingdom of God, and our joy in finding it (Matt. 13:44-46)!
We have much to celebrate at Easter! Our hope and our joy! This is the whole basis of our belief system: (1 Cor. 15:3-4)that Jesus Christ came as a human, was tortured and died for our sins, rose from the dead, on the third day, as the Scrpitures said...and we will also rise! Praise God!! He is great, and his ways are marvelous!
Pagans would like us to stop this celebration. They would like to usurp the holiday, and keep our eyes on their practices.
I can not help what pagans and satanists do on anyday of the week! They use many animals, objects and days as worship. They even use sex as part of their rituals. That does not make the THINGS nor the days they use, evil! Shall we not have sex with our spouses, on days that pagans are using this as a ritual? How silly! Just as silly to alter our Easter celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!
Read Paul's exposition on eating meat sacrificed to idols.
And by a poster named "VS":
I would like to add that the word "Easter" does not bother me. It helps to distinguish the difference from the traditional Jewish passover from the Christian passover. It helps to eliminate the confusion between the two. A Jew would never participate in the body and blood of Christ, and a Christian would never participate in the Jewish passover without Christ. I think Tyndale was inspired. The word "easter" was not snuck in there by some "kenite".
